Ki & Stokes spring to mind right away.

Also seem to remember that dud Fortune missing an absolute sitter at Celtic Park, it was pretty much on the line and that diddy somehow managed to hit it over the bar.

Samaras has had his fair share as well. Am I right in saying he * the ball over the bar of an open goal a few years ago? Positive it was under Mowbray and against Aberdeen but could be wrong.

That was the game we somehow lost against Hearts.

Yes I agree. I also think that fans are more able to forgive a sitter missed through a bad judgement call than a sitter missed through lack of bottle. Larsson's bottle beyond reproach by the Valencia game.

Biggest miss has to be Mulgrew's "headbuttt" on Laugherty that never happened nevermind hit the target:

GLASGOW, May 19, 2009 (AFP) - Rangers striker Kyle Lafferty has apologised for a show of theatrics that ended in Aberdeen's Charlie Mulgrew being red-carded at the weekend.
The Northern Ireland international issued his mea culpa for his theatrical reaction to a "headbutt" which saw Mulgrew dismissed during Saturday's 2-1 Premier League win at Ibrox.
The player has been fined by Rangers and says he is willing to accept any further punishment handed out by the Scottish Football Association.
"I know I'm going to get labelled as a diver and a cheat now. Probably for a long time, maybe the rest of my career," he told the Scottish Sun.

Juninho was the name which jumped out to me having seen this thread. I think it may have been against Dundee Utd away.

He also hit the bar with a header from about 4 yards against Hibs at home a couple of seasons ago. Was at a right crucial stage of the game as well.

Shaun Maloney missed identical sitters away to Artmedia and in the cup loss to Clyde, both were easy finishes with the left foot but both times he adjusted his body so he could play them with his favoured right foot and ended up passing the ball to the goalie as a result.

Stokesy`s had a couple alright. One at Dundee United sticks out though. Smashing it against the bar, * knows what happened him there

Ki had a bad one against Kilmarnock in the League Cup final last year as well. When that didn`t go in, you just knew we weren`t going to win that day

I remember Pierre missed a header in Paris against PSG. Lama missed the cross and he had a free header but put it wide.

But at some stage, just about every forward has misses one. I remember seeing footage of Di Canio missing from a couple of yards out for Milan.

I remember McGeady's one against Bratislava, we were 1 or 2-0 down at the time and if he had scored i have no doubt we would have went through.

I always think that wasn't so much a sitter than * himself but aye it was bad, Maloneys against Bratislava was worse in my opinion but considering the year he had after it... well it can be forgiven.
