    Exactly

All reactions like this show is that these people realise their 'faith' is a lie

I mean if you really believed this Allah character was all powerful and omnipotent you wouldn't get angry when people deride the claims made in his name, you would feel sorry for them.

Same applies to people of all faiths that are so thin skinned when it comes to criticism

The saddest thing is that Coptic Christians in Egypt are afraid of revenge. They came today in front of the churches to show they are against this movie. They are afraid that Muslims will attack them, just because of a fool who is Coptic Christian. He is an Orthodox Christian just like me and I am saying he is a fool who insults others. Of course, he went to California to film that movie. If he is so brave, he'd stay in Egypt, but he saves his *.
I am afraid for my Christian friends who live in Muslim part of the country. People are annoyed, maybe there is a fool who could attack them because of an Orthodox Christian fool who insulted Islamic world.

what an absolutely * movie. It's so bad it's laughable :icon_lol::icon_lol:

looks like something made by a high school drama class:smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002:

I mean who would be stupid enough to make a provocative film knowing all too well the wahibbi/salafist extremist elements that exist. They don't need an excuse for violence.

These fundamentalists brains are obviously nothing but undeveloped *, to actually go and murder innocent people over a ridiculous film just shows them up for what they are, barbaric savages.

To be honest I'm surprised that there are actually people that even bother with them anymore, they're simply not capable of acting in any form of civilized manner so why even put yourself at risk ?? I would rather attend every home game at Ibrox than spend even one day in some * hole like that.

I'd expect this response from Americans and BNP members.

Although I agree with what you're saying, for people to get so upset to murder innocent people who've nothing to do with the movie is certainly psychotic and ridiculous.

Kind of reverse racism is it not ??

Either way I don't see why me saying that is wrong ?? they are clearly undeveloped and are incapable of acting in a civilized manner. Your average child wouldn't react this way if you took their favourite toys off them and most certainly not if you slagged off their religion pmsl.

While I don't condone the reaction of some militants to this film, the portrayal of Mohammed as a paedophile by an Israeli film maker, was absolutely expecting and inciting a response like the one that has happened.

No-one would make a film about Jesus being a paedophile, without expecting a response from the Christian world, so why would anyone think it's okay to make and distribute films attacking islam in the same way.

The Islamaphobia being pushed in the world today, is bordering on the hatred generated towards the Jews in the Late 19th, early 20th Century, and is extremely dangerous.

Who would have thought the Americans would see an opportunity to overthrow someone they don't like, for their backing to bite them on the * (see Afghanistan, Iraq, etc, and watch for the same in Syria).

Sam Bacile doesn't exist - the guy was an Egyptian-born Copt, and the government now plans to investigate many returning Copts for blasphemy charges (which can be committed even while overseas for Egyptian nationals). And the reaction would be different and you know it - Family Guy regularly makes tons of fun of Jesus and just the other day The Onion published a picture of Jesus, Buddha, Yahweh, and a couple other (non-Muslim) deities involved in what can only be described as graphic and degrading *-* *. No riots anywhere, despite thousands of reactions to it online.

Also, it's not solely about American imperialism. It brought back memories of the Danish cartoons and I have some Danish friends living in Tahrir who had to be "Swedish" for a day or two. Would they have been harassed in that case because of Danish hegemony and dominance in the region?

There are many misconceptions about what's going on, and the protests were incredibly small (in Cairo at least) leading these barbarism charges to be fairly ridiculous. Most Egyptians are the nicest people you'll ever meet, and the protest itself had about 7k people out of a city of 20 million. The Libya thing seemed to be a pre-planned attack and I know for a fact that the situation in Khartoum was overblown as well. Saying that, don't fall into misconceptions in the other way either. Not everything can simply be blamed on America. Sometimes people are just crazy, and due to a variety of factors some areas will be less tolerant than others.
