I'll tell you when we find out if Efe Ambrose is the quality CB that we need.

The more I hear and see of Ambrose the more enthused I am. Admittedly I was after a more experienced defender, possibly of the Champions League itself but this guy has all the attributes.

He is powerful, gutsy and determined to succeed. Possibly his best attribute though is his pace which, for his size, almost defies belief. That can make up for many shortcomings. You think of how good Agathe was at tackling and covering at the back when you think of pacy defenders that are good in the tackle and he was world class at it.

I really didn't know what to answer for this poll. I settled on 'yes', but really there's good arguments that could be made for each. I'm reasonably content we've done well, based on the current make-up of our squad, our success so far this season, and the couple of additions we made. Time will tell, though.

Yeah I know what you mean, if we do that with all our signings I don't care about price, although sometimes it still doesn't work out!

I'm hopeful he's the man for the job as well mate.

There's no denying it will be a total disaster if he is not though. We could have went out and got the experienced defender who has proved his quality, even if it cost us a few bob.

This! The days of massive spending in the transfer window is over for us I think, Loan signings and cheap young players is our policy now.

Ambrose appears to be a Wanyama replacement, giving them time together for him to bed in and if he is successful the sale of Wanyama will be easier to accomadate when it inevitably comes for X millions. Brilliant business.
Miku would have been expensive, so the security of taking him on loan for a year of his peak ability with an inbuilt option is clever; takes the long term risk away yet if he is better than expected we can have him at a set price

How much money did we actually spend this window? We must have made a profit.
Forster cost 2 mill, we got 5 or 6 for Ki plus add ons later hopefully.

Ambrose couldn't have been more than 1 mill and the loan fees surely aren't massive?
