Going Edinburgh > Brussels > Barcelona and returning Barcelona > Paris > Edinburgh from Monday to Wednesday with Ryanair for £130, found a decent wee hostel 2km from Camp Nou for me and 2 mates for £30 each.
The layovers are quite tight but thats as good a deal as i can find just need to somehow get tickets sorted. Has anyone been to Barca in the CL in 2008 and can advise on how easy/difficult it was for British passport holders to get tickets or indeed the size of the Celtic allocation?

My mate was over from America for the last Barca game @ the Nou camp...
(with his American wife)..... Well that turned out handy as we sent her up to the ticket office with HER American passport and she purchased a rake of tickets..

So if anyone stuck for a ticket grab a tourist (non UK /Irish passport)
buy he/she a drink and ask them to buy you a ticket.....:50:

Does anyone know if you can buy tickets off the barcelona website in the home end and then print off the tickets at home ? so you dont need to pick them up and can walk directly into the stadium ?

hi I did buy my ticket this morning (48 euros) via the official website
I confirm that you can print your ticket
for the nationality they didn't ask anything
I am currently living in London so I fill up the form with my uk adress and it wasn't any problem
may the problem can come when you pick up the ticket at the stadium as they ll ask for the passport
I saw on the website that they allow themself to deny the entry to the stadium or relocate the visitor fans
For me I don't mind as my passport is French
I did buy a cheap ticket in case they relocate me in the celtic end

Booked up for this, my first european trip. Staying in salou on the sunday(leave early sunday morning) and monday, barcelona all day on tuesday and night for the game obviously then back to salou (about and hour and a bit away) then fly back wednesday afternoon.Tickets wise we're not too sure we've got two options sit in the Barca end (next to the celtic fans) or sit in the celtic end but be right up in the heavens when its freezing( My dads coming haha) i want celtic end, but wont be bothered which end.:50:

I'm really not sure on what to do here. I don't want to fork out the money to get there and the money for the ticket, only to be denied at the ticket office and be forced to watch the game in the pub, or to go over without a ticket and chance it on the day.

I went with my son and daughter the last time we played Barcelona in Barcelona, we went to their ticket office but they refused to sell us tickets claiming that it was a UEFA ruling.

We ended up watching the match in a city centre bar, I wouldn't risk it again.

Do you have to say who each of the tickets are allocated to? I have an Irish passport and mate has British one. Don't want to buy to be asked to give his details and lose out on money. Have they asked for your passport details? I've read its a UEFA rule that each ticket needs details associated with it.

Were you able to print your ticket? I tried and the site said printing was not available.

Barcelona dont let you print the tickets out for champs lge as the want to check your passport details to make sure u havent got a uk passport.

That is true, but if you try it, they will not let you. Probably a UEFA rule. Celtic did not offer print at home tickets for the CL either.
