No wonder we haven't done much in Europe for a long time!
I think we'll be lucky to finish 3rd, but yet could possibly finish 2nd, really tough group depends how we play tbh!

[IMG][/IMG]I'll share my personal opinion! Spartak, in games against Celtic must take six points. I do not see that the prerequisites to be lost. With Benfica hope to press 4 points! And Barcelona is likely to lose two games! In other matches, I will support Celtic, you have a very interesting team but too weak championship!

Hi mate, welcome to the forum. Yeah it's quite understandable that Celtic are seen as the underdogs as the group as we haven't done fuckall in europe in years. I don't think Spartak will take 6 points off us, 3 at most. We actually see Spartak as weaker than Benfica so they're the team we're hoping to get most points off of. As for Barcelona, we're all * against them:50::56:

What is your opinions on McGeady? Is he one of the best players at your club?

Expecting three points against us at Parkhead? Good luck with that, the only team who has done it in the Champions League is Barcelona.

see tbh people saying this is a tough group it could of been a * of alot worst with us in a group knowing fine rightly we are coming rock bottom withoup even a point

and we could of got a easyier group but not by much
we have barca which obv are gna whipe floor with any one
benfica who have sold most of their good players
and s moscow who blow hot and cold watched them in the playoffs and have a couple of quilty players but nothing we cant handle

we can come second in this group and worst case 3rd

i dont see us coming fourth if we play 100%

have a little faith lads
bita luck and hard work and we could surprise alot of people
were not world beaters but on our day we can raise are game and hold our own
we have a v.good side i think
a side that could do damage under these floodlights and the roars of the crowd

cant wait for wed be signing my heart out

Hi!!! Yes, Benfica looked the favorite until he lost a key player in the midfield, Axel Thomas Witsel!! To us by a new coach, who up to this point coached Valencia for 4-years! Now the game is not exactly, but it's all relative! As for Mtsgeady, then it is a key player of our team on the wing. He is a true professional and a great person. Thank you for it =)

Aiden McGeady, what a quality player he is:50: real skillfull, but a shame he's missing a good end product

That Group G preview video was excellent! I had to stop myself from jumping up at my desk in work and screaming "yaas!" haha!

It gives me confidence that McGeady is one of Spartak's top players as we know exactly how he will play. He is talented, but anytime I have watched him since he left he still has the same flaws that he had here... tries to beat the same man too many times, final ball is not good enough. I hope those words don't come back to haunt me!

Mon the Celts!

Checked tix availability for the Benfica game, looks like Benfica returned some of their allocation as there've been about 400 new tix available today next to the away sector. Good for our fans.

A Benfica fan told me today their right back Maxi Pereira will be suspended for our game meaning a centre back, Miguel Vitor will play there instead.

I just hope that by the time we play our last game against Spartak at CP, we have something to play for, be it 2nd place or a Europa league spot. If it got to that I doubt very much we would lose as one last incredible push in the group from the crowd and the players would be enough to see us over the line.

Saying that, i hope we don't have anything to play for and we have already secured 2nd or 3rd by then. But we haven't even kicked a ball yet and it will be incredibly difficult, optimistic though :50:.

In my opinion we will beat benfica and Spartak at home and lose both away, benfica will beat spartak at home and lose away. It will come down to who can take points off of barca.

Let's make sure we take care of the goal difference then. :50:

Would we be breaking an rules if we stood 11 men on our goal line at the Nou Camp and just let Messi and co. pelt balls off us to hold out for a draw? :smiley-laughing002:

Has Barcelona or any team for that matter ever got 18 points from the group stages?

Not saying it couldn't happen, just genuinely interested.
