    we bought Salvio from At.Madrid (he was in Benfica 2seasons ago loaned), Ola John(Twente), Lima(Braga) and some loaned players returned home. We just sold Javi Garcia, but that is more than enough.....a huge loss!

    I'm usually really optimistic but I can only see us getting 4 points in this group..

    Benfica up 2-0 after 60 minutes. Oscar Cardozo and Rodrigo, look very dangerous going forward.

    I can see us getting a FEW points maybe about 6 as it will be well documented, and should we fail that, it will because Scot Brown aint playing.

    I cant see barca finishing the group with maximum points. I reckon they'll defo drop a couple of points or 3 somewhere. With the right team selection, mentality, determination and atmosphere on the night i've got a feeling we could be the team to grab a draw or MAYBE even nick the full 3 points against barca at a rocking parkhead! This would give us an advantage over the other 2 teams if barca were to beat them home and away. I realise this is very optimistic but imo certainly not impossible.

    Cardozo will be one we really have to watch. Goal machine.

    From the game on Wednesday until last night I was saying to everyone we'd finish second and win all our home games and grab at least one draw away... But now realisation is starting to creep in :54: These are really quality European teams we are playing, but like Lennon said in one of his interviews recently, hopefully us being the underdogs for the groups will serve us well.

    Mon the hoops :shamrock::shamrock::shamrock:

    At parkhead anything can happen, i can realistically see 4-6 points from home games and 1 point from the away games. Only Udinese come close to the quality that is in this group when we played in the EL.

    But players rise to the big occasions, hopefully we can surprise a few and get third and maybe second but it will be very difficult.

    I am happy we are in the CL, but once you are there we need to make it count.

    I think if we fail to beat Benfica at home in our first match then we may end up finishing bottom...cos after that we have 3 tricky fixtures (Spartak away, Barca away, Barca home) where we could conceivably get beat three times.
