    Have you seen Del Piero play much in the last year? The only thing that's different about him is he's a bit slower but he's never really relied on his pace. His finishing, free kicks, passing, movement, footballing brain is still as sharp as ever. 31 games for Juventus last season, an outstanding Juventus team by the way.

    I'd be * ecstatic because of his footballing ability and the effect it would have on our team long term. This is a very young team, going into the Champions League it would be amazing to have a player like Del Piero in there to coach the young players through it.

    The effect he would have on young players like Tony Watt, Gary Hooper, Anthony Stokes would be palpable. That is a player to learn off, that is a player to leech every bit of knowledge you can off of him.

    Would be an outstanding signing.

    I've noticed that's a few times you have posted about hopeful signings but haven't included the kind of striker we need. Someone good in the air and that can hold the ball up for starters.

    It would be cool to see Del Piero playing for Celtic. I just hope the Sevconians don't swoop in at the last minute and sign him. The lure of Ramsden's Cup football would almost certainly be too much for a player like Del Piero to turn down.
