Yous really rate cha that high??? You are one of the very few here that rate the man that high. It seemed to me he never had on his thinking cap on the ball, he just ran fast. And he was never where he was supposed to be defending.

Mulgrini makes errors but at least it seems he's always thinking.

MVP for me is Lenny he put the talent and the spirit back into a dull uninterested demotivated side we had to deal with when we had mogga. He's taking us right back where we belong in the top flight of Europe.

John Park keeps getting praise for some decent finds but he isnt the main reason they are found. Celtic have scouts and talent spotters all around the world. If Park gets the credit for the good ones then surely he should get the credit for the not so good ones and also the downright rubbish ones of which there is plenty over the last few years.

Desmond is the main man, he has the say so even over Lawell.

Haha, nah mate, I was just kidding. Sarcasm is hard to get across over the internet.

EDIT - I do have a soft spot for Cha's winning smile, though!

I went for John park this is the guy that went out and found us kayal wanyama Izzy (to an extent) matthews and some of the youth that are expected to break through
Not 100% if he was involved in ki or even further back likes of boruc.
Ok there have been some horror signings but every other candidate has made just as bad errors of judgement eg. Ross county.
Not spending that bit extra on fletcher
But this guy is heading the network of finding the some of the best talent avalible to our club and making lawells job easy for him as they haven't been noticed so are avalible cheap
And have a good chance of creating a hefty profit from. But realistically that's what the club now need to be doing to allow us to keep progressing, as Scottish football is a stepping stone for these foreigners
But the real MVP's are us. As without fans football is nothing

Personally I was hoping he stayed because I really liked singing "Ooh ah up the Cha" during the Celtic symphony. :icon_mrgreen:

Im gonna go with some one different. Although not an individual i would say we the supporters are the MVPs. Without us none of the others would be in a job. Managers Chief execs come and go but a true supporter is with the club for life. Sorry if im sounding like a *

dont think anyone at the club is indispensible, used to think the players but not since the term "sell on value" came about ,
the guys listed on the face of it, have done their jobs well ,could they improve? probably . i dont think if any left we couldnt get adequate replacements

Desmond, Lawwell, Lennon, Park and Parker, theres not really a main single guy more of a team.

Desmond calls the shots, Lawwell carries them out very well, Park has good scouting knowledge and Lennon and Parker have been getting the right players in.

I honestly think we'd have a hard time replacing Peter Lawwell.

    • He's reduced the club's debt
    • He keeps the club on a solid financial footing
    • He gives our managers enough resources to be successful(except for January 2009)
    • He refuses to be held to ransom by greedy players or agents
    • He handles the media so well
    • He is not afraid to take on the SFA and the SPL head on if he feels the club have been wronged
    • He's a Celtic man so he knows exactly what the club's ethos is and what is expected here
    • He's not shy about having a little swipe at that lot across the city
    • He takes into account what the fans want(The Green Brigade section, appointing Neil Lennon as manager, saying no to newco etc)

I can't think of anybody I would rather have as Celtic's Chief Executive to be honest. I think Pistol Pete has done a tremendous job.

It has to be big pistol pete.

If anyone understands how a company is run, Pete does a fantastic job. Giving the challenging economy, the dunt from all the bullshit the huns have been doing and the P&L sheet he has done what many could not.

Also, he is a top hunskelper too!

I think we would really struggle to replace this man.

It is going to interesting looking back on this time historically. I remember the bad old days of the early 90's. When McCann come in he was seen as a saviour, set the club on a firm footing, however during his tenure, he never really got the appreciation and respect he deserved. It is only in recent years, people have looked on McCann, for what he is a Celtic hero.
During the strachan years, Lawwell was getting pelters for his control of the budget, reducing debt and not replacing with "o'neill" calibre players, and not buying Steven Fletcher. However it is clear it has been the way to conduct our business.

We now stand at the start of an exciting period for Celtic. A young, talented and potentially successful team, hopefully an extended period of regular qualification for Europe. And importantly 3 years, to build up an unsurmountable domination of the domestic game.

    Well done Celtic.

The fans are Celtic's MVP's in my honest opinion. As Big Jock said, "football without the fans is nothing". Out of the list though, then it has to be Peter Lawwell without a shadow of a doubt. From a financial and business point of view, the man is fantastic for us. I wonder how much he cost the former club *angers in transfer fees by putting in a bid or declaring an interest in a player they were after when we had no intention of buying him.

Peter Lawwell for most of the reasons above, however his attempts to stop the singing of Republican songs amongst the support is something which I can't support him on,and personally I dislike the guy for trying to dillute our fans. He's an asset though,a man who is very good at his job and I'm glad we have someone as sharp as him.

Hard to quantify. The manager and our best player could be replaced like for like in terms of ability. The affinity the manager has with the support would be impossible to replicate right enough.

It would be almost impossible to replace Park and Lawwell though for differing reasons.

The Celtic Song so long as Dean Park doesn't sing it.
    I chose "Other"!

It is us, the fans, managers/directors good or bad come and go but we stay, without us there would be no Celtic. No man is bigger than the club!
