Good point. some players talents are of no use playing against SPL kick and rush fodder. KI wouldve been good in the Champions league but is always gony be behind Brown and Ledley. He'll get by with 7/10 performances in the EPL

Think his comment from Lennon might be mind games so we don't get overpriced on players

So disappointing that the sale of key cant fund new additions, thought this would have added to the coffers, but there's obviously none.

Hopefully we add a cracking sell on fee of about 15% and upwards, I think he will do well down south and move on again.

Terrific shout, hope your right :D

Someone just posted this on Facebook. Hopefully this true!

I'm told the initial fee for Ki if he signs for Swansea is £6.3m with £1.2m of add-ons dependent on appearances, with a 15% sell on fee.

    * of a shout.

clubs will look at us getting whatever they think we got for Ki and up their price as they know we have had a cash injection.

whatever the fee, i expect more than half to be banked anyway.

6 Million is brilliant for a squad player.

Second best passer at the club certainly deserves the chance to flourish elsewhere whether that will be at Swansea or not I do not know. I personally felt that Spain or Italy would have been more befitting to his game. Good luck to him.

Yes it could be but i doubt he would lie about the debt otherwise he will be found out when they release the books at end of year.

6 million is a great price considering he's not even one of our key players

Think some of the reactions over this deal from people have been way over the top.

The money being talked about for him is fantastic business. The board know what they're doing, look at the quality of player they've been bringing in at a young age and for a good price in the past one or two seasons.

He won't be missed as much as everyone thinks, and he's a hot and cold player and too inconsistent. He's a good passer of the ball with a good shot but technical ability isn't everything. He's not got the drive we needed in midfield and is lacking.

Some of the names people are flinging about comparing him to and saying he's better than are ridiculous.

He's decent but let's not get carried away.

    Best of luck Ki

'Quality' pun is arguable, but it certainly is a pun. :56:

    I'm not picky.
Think if its $6m (American keyboard and doesn't have pound sign :icon_mrgreen:) that we got for Ki then I think that's an excellent deal, especially for an SPL player. Also the $6m will probably have add-ons as well(?) so it's probably a better deal than we think.

Money will go between reducing debt and going towards getting a player in (hopefully a central defender) so its a win win situation.

I think £6m is perfectly reasonable and it is a good bit of business for us. Happy to take £6m for a guy who isnt even a shoe in our first 11. I also hope we have been wise enough to negotiate a % of future sale.

    Good luck to him :50:
