Guidette trying to grab the ball from him for penalty piled extra pressure on the lad

    No.

Forrest seemingly felt no pressure taking the pen. "It was his to take" according to his behavior, so he couldn't give a *. Maybe cause he's thick. I don't know. He acted thick.

By the way, that was the worst penalty ever taken!

    Look at this *!

    My eyes! My soul!

    Horrendous!

Can't stand the big headed wee *! The smirk after the penalty enraged me to the point of tracking him down and disembowelling him then eating his dug! The only good Forrest is Forrest furnishings!

Comes down to one thing, is Guidetti the designated penalty taker? I thought it goes Commons, then whatever one of Guidetti/Griffiths is playing.

If Forrest has taken it off of Deila's instructed penalty taker he is in the wrong (I think with the other players reactions this is what happened), if this isn't what happened then Forrest has every right to take it and Guidetti is in the wrong for trying to take it off of him.

As much as he enjoyed his maiden trophy win, Deila did not hide his irritation at the conduct of substitutes John Guidetti and James Forrest who clashed angrily as they fought over who was taking the late penalty kick Celtic were awarded.

Forrest won the battle but saw his poor effort from the spot saved by United goalkeeper Radoslaw Cierzniak. “Both of the players who were on penalties, Leigh Griffiths and Kris Commons, were off the park when we got it,” said Deila. “It looks like it was as case of who was the first to the ball, but I don’t like that they argue about that. It is stupid. That is not the team spirit I want. We have to learn from the situation. There is a lot of emotion in these situations and strikers, especially, want to score goals. Again, we have to put the team in front of ourselves. It is something we have worked on all the time and you learn from through experience. This was not about team spirit today. It was individual thinking and I don’t want anything to do with that.”

Looked like to me Forrest won it and wanted to take it but Stokes also ran over to take it but got knocked back as did Guidetti who basically never gave up wanting until it was took, Stokes even trying to calm him down probably thinking the game was done anyway it was meaningless.

Johansen was the one that tried to get the ball from Forrest though, not Guidetti.

I said at the time and I stand by it, Brown should have either told Johansen and Guidetti to get away or took the ball off Forrest.

I'll hold my hands up so, Guidetti isn't on penalties at all.

I still think he can be forgiven for it, he has taken a few for us and scored them all. If that was me in his situation I'd be looking for it too. It also wasn't him that went up to Forrest's face to confront him about it, that was Johansen.

Forrest had EVERY right to take the penalty, considering it was his driving run into the box (and the subsequent foul on him) that won us it.

Guidetti - the billybigbollox that he is - acted like a schoolyard bully tryi g to force the ball from Forrest.

As much as wee Shooders' face annoys me, he had every right to tell Guidetti to * off (which I think he actually did :56:).

Stokes didn't attempt to take it, he went over to tell both of them to * up and stop arguing basically. Was him that took Guidetti away and moved Forrest over towards the penalty spot.

Personally, in situations like that, I'd prefer Broony to pull rank and say that it's his.

Looked like he did to me, soon as it was won he put his hand up and went running over but time he got there he probably knew Forrest wouldnt let him, then just tried to calm Guidetti.

Guidetti was probably still raging at not getting to take it after the game as he never really celebrated the Cup win at all, Scepovic and McGregor etc who never even played looked happier than him and actually took part in the lap of honour.

Didn't really celebrate his goal in the manner you'd think someone would do, considering it effectively sealed the trophy for us. Guidetti seemed more excited.

Ah, didn't notice that, just saw on the tele that he's ran over and mediated between them. Something that you want your more experienced players doing to be honest.

Either way, the penalty was beyond gash.

That's because Guidetti totally hijacked his celebration.

I might just be being a bit picky here, but Forrest at full-time didn't look one bit interested when the cameras panned onto him.
