Buy 2 CBs and Striker/Playmaker but take Ki and Wanyama hit

Id rather not play Mulgrew at CB purely based on the fact I think his left foot his wasted there. Look at how performed against Kilmarnock when he had license to go forward.

got to agree with that one ,charlie is our best centre back by far and its a shame that left peg is wasted there .If we had a striker that liked crosses he would supply a barrell load with his delivery

 

Hopefully we sell Ki for 8 mill or so this window and buy at least a CB with that money.

If we get into CL and then sell Ki - he won't be cup tied as he's just playing the Olympics - then we could have a massive pot of money on our hands, surely to * we can buy 2 good enough players with that, considering the excellent work by our scouts already.

We don't need 2 center backs. We only need 1 good experienced one as just now we have the likes of Mulgrew, Rogne, Wanyama (I know he's not a natural center back but he can do the job) and Wilson (but in all honesty, I'm not confident of him). Even Lustig can be played in center back position as well, as Lennon said that himself when he bought the player.

We don't need to go nuts because the last thing we need is a * load of fringe players again.

This would be excellent. I'd throw in Stokes as well and try to get our money back on him. Two Strikers and Two CDs would change the team around for sure.

I'm also concerned about the full back positions. It's only a matter of time before Izaguirre gets injured.

 

I'd be up for selling Ki but I would like to hang on to big Vic for a little bit longer and then use the money for a right good CB.

Then we should get rid of the "they still play for us " signings like Bangura and Murphy then get in a big tall yin to stick his head on some of these crossings , love him but Sammys scared of messing up his hair.

 

Punting Ki in order to fund the signing of a centre half and a striker would have been the first thing I'd have done this Summer.

 

Don't think we need 2 Centre Back's, 1 experienced CB would be enough. I'm happy enough for Mulgrew to play Centre Back as he's able to bring the ball out of defence and start attacks from the back, and we have enough trouble finding a decent centre half let alone one that can do that.

Dont see any reason to sell both for 17-20m. Sell Ki and take than £7m or so and sign a quality defender and striker for £3.5m each.

James Collins just went to West Ham for around £2.5m. Granted his wages would be bigger than average but to me that is the kind of centre half we should be after. Solid, experienced, and still has a few years left to offer. Realistically we are never going to shed £8m on a player but there have been some decent signings this year in the EPL for around the £2-3m mark.

 

In his first season he missed a good few games. Most players do.

 

I'm happy for Mulgrew to cover there on the odd occassion, but not as a 1st choice. Would much prefer Ledley in CM as well as imo he's our best CM.
