Imagine a back line of Kelvin Wilson, Rafael Scheidt, Du Wei and Badr El Kaddouri with Mark Brown in goals. Which reminds me, there's another diddy. Mark Brown :56:

I don't think El Kaddouri was neccessarily awful. Sure he was a bit lightweight and was never going to get a permanent contract but we'll always remember him for that goal against McRapist and Mo Camara and Edson Braafheid definitely outrank him as shitest Celtic left backs of the 21st century.

Craig Beattie has lost any shred of respect I may have once had for him but, like Kenny Miller, we can't revise history and it's a fact that Beattie while he was never going to be a regular for us did score a fair few goals for us.

That's exaggerating it a bit, he was good for Hearts for the 2nd half of last season so is at the very least SPL standard...the * that he is!

El Kad had a rank rotten touch and used to run the ball out of play. His passing was woeful, he couldn't win a header to save his life and he was far too easily shouldered off the ball. Braafheid has played in a World Cup final. El Kad was worse than Mo as well.
Sure I'll remember El kad for that goal but at the end of the day it was a weak shot that only went in because McShagger made a massive mistake.

I couldn't care less that Braafheid played in a World Cup Final, Holland have a severe lack of defenders and he was nowhere near the Euro 2012 squad. Badr played less than 10 games and was merely an emergency loan due to Izzy's injury, Braafheid and Camara were there when they were supposed to be #1 LB in the team and they both failed miserably.

What relevance has that to their footballing ability? Braafheid was a good player he was just a bit of a * who didn't care much for Celtic. El Kaddouri was absolute mince. I can't even really remember Mo but he wasn't worse than El Kad.

Yes he was. Braafheid was awful for Celtic and I don't take the fact he's Dutch or he played in a WC Final or he was at Bayern Munich or whatever as any excuse to defend him. El Kaddouri was extremely average but did he ever do anything as blatantly stupid as Braafheid's handball at Pittodrie?

Du Wei, Braafheid were both pish. Craig Beattie was a big dumpling aswell, came on for 10 mins, missed a few sitters, didn't do a lot of running then got stretchered off never to be seen again for 6 months...

Can't believe Bobo has been mentioned in this thread, he was solid in his day.

Ian Wright = Short term hasbeen but short term nonetheless.
Dion Dublin = Was actually decent as a short term solution in WGS's 1st season
Perrier Doumbe = Good player and scored only goal in 2007 Scottish Cup Final
Freddie Ljungberg = Completely pointless signing and waste of time but not our worst
Roy Keane = Over the hill at the time but was decent, bossed huns in 1-0 Ibrox win
Michael Gray = Random short term signing in MON era but wasn't * nor good. Just meh
