He was going to join man city, but there were work permit issues. Now he's earned a regular first team place for Nigeria, perhaps a work permit may be granted if we do decide to go for him.

like the look of him good in the air, strong and looks like he has a football brain. Worrying part about Wilson and Thompson our defence is starting to look threadbare!

Hes like a black pique :icon_mrgreen:

Seriously though looks very quick and composed on the ball. Id take him purely based on the videos. Yass!.

Looking at the videos he's better at moving the ball forward than Caldwell. We've missed a ball playing centre half. If he's better at defending as well then get him in!

Based on his highlights - sign him up. Young, fast, composed, skilful, strong, can tackle, can pass, can score goals. Looks great.

I wonder what his lowlights are like, looks like the type of defender that has a few howlers every now and again, but, based on highlights, he'd fit in great at Celtic.

What? Mulgrew is the best ball-playing centre-half Celtic have had for as long as I can remember.

Don't know anything about this guy, but he looks good on youtube...

Basically, if he's as dominant in the air & the tackle as he looks on the videos, then we should get him in.

He looks fast too & reads the game well too, which we need for a CB - considering we play so offensively.

I wonder how much he's going for?

Kayal looked awesome in his youtube vids & came from the same league as far as I know, so hopefully the same scouts have recommended this guy.

I like the look of this boy. Very composed, which is something we seem to persistently lack in central defence. Would be a good signing by all accounts, particularly as City wanted him and he is a regular starter for Nigeria now.

His value has been quoted at around 1.5m, The Scottish hun says something about us preparing a 1.5m bid, seems like alot of pish, he shares the same agent as kayal which could swing in our favour if we do decide to go for him, he seems quite good. :50:

Totally agree mate, he's quality at the back but it seemed in the big games Lennon preferred to play him further up the park last season. I'm not convinced that won't remain the case this season. This guy would (hopefully) ensure we've always got someone at the back who can start something regardless of where Mulgrew plays. For the record i hope he's given a centre half slot and that's that though.

In any case, i'm glad we're looking at this type of defender. Someone at the back who can start something (according to the videos anyway...) isn't necessary for the SPL, but is a must if we're gonna get anywhere in Europe.
