Reason I ask is, I am working in a pub just now and an older couple who were visiting Glasgow for the day (Scousers) were asking me what good late night bars there are in town. This was yesterday.

Now I am from Partick so I know the town as well as anybody. But on a Tuesday night, I was struggling for decent suggestions. I am also going back to uni at the end of Aug, so I imagine ill be doing a fair bit of week-night boozin! :icon_mrgreen: In addition to this, at nearly 26 I cannae be arsed wae clubs anymore and prefer somewhere where I can drink into the wee hours (not counting casinos).

My suggestions to the couple were The Corinthian and Oran Mor which I believe are open late during the week. Box is also somewhere I would consider for myself.

    What can u guys recommend?

Corinthians always a good shout, wouldnt go on a Friday/Saturday though, full of pretentious wanks.

Every other night is fine, theres still a good few pretetious * but its manageable.

If you go on a Sunday you'll more than likely catch a few players in there aswell as its quiet. Played Blackjack with Kayal and Hooper on a Sunday in there and seen a good few other players on other Sundays.

The only places I can think of are Firewater and Ivory Blacks. Doubt they'd enjoy either place though.

Firewater was my place when I was about 17-18. That and the Brunswick Cellars. Never really bothered with Ivory's.

Blue Dog can be ok, pretty expensive though, it is a cocktail bar. But they're open till 3am, sometimes have a pianist playing and pretty chilled.

If your in Partick I know PJ Champs on Byres Road is usually open later as it is a snooker club, not a great boozer but if your wanting a late night pint it's better than nothing.
