Don't see why we don't offer him a year contract, surely he can do a job of filling in.If he does turn out to be the biz, give him a longer contract then.Call it an extended trial.:icon_mrgreen:

I'd be pleased if we could sign him but I doubt he'd come here if he's looking for first team football as we already have Izzy. He was awful at Euros but was just coming off a year long injury and frankly didn't look fit. I thought he was a very good fullback prior to his injury.

Could possibly play central defense, especially if we have 3 at the back. Same as Lustig.

Maybe not even awful, I think he was good against Greece, just weaker against Russia and Czech Republic due to his injury. I really like him, he could be better than Izzy for us.

He would be worth a shot if he's out of contract and he has international experience.

Thought he was decent at the Euros myself, he has the physique certainly to play cb and he also has a wee bit of pace about him.

Would not mind this signing at all to be honest.

I'll take anyone who can defend, is not too old, and has decent international/European experience. Boenisch does seem like he'd be a good fit. Let's just hope we don't wait until it's too late (ala being dumped out of Europe) before we sign him!

Wont get in the team at LB and would prefer an actual CB for the CB position its no good signing players in there mid 20s and asking them to change position

No thanks. We need a CB and a striker, Izzi is our man at LB, and Mulgrew can cover.

Yeah. Just left Bremen. Would be delighted with another signing but I don't see it.
