The current form of the SPL is a completely failed football model. The staggering thing is that the SFA/SPL/SFL are doing everything they can to protect this failed model. They've shown themselves to be grossly incompetent and hopefully clubs will demand better people to govern the game once the Rangers/Sevco saga is concluded.

Scottish Football wont get a better opportunity to implement all the changes needed to improve the game in the long term and these muppets are doing their best to mess it up.

feel a bit sick at the thought of all the wee teams coming to park head with a couple of thousand and can claim 30 percent of the gate money

Pretty much sums it up, although by protecting the failed model - they are protecting their own jobs/ego, which is their motivation.

Therefore, We (Scottish football fans/clubs) need to get rid of the administrators of our game in order to effect any change, as they will not accept that change is required - this means admitting failure.

Doncaster, Regan et al come across as the typical self serving, high flying, in it for myself, nose in the trough, power hungry, greasy pole climbing, sociopathic arseholes that fill boardrooms all over the World & I for one am fed up with the lot of them!

We have a great opportunity for progress & there is a real groundswell of interest & togetherness from the 40 odd Professional Scottish clubs under the SFA umbrella, but these idiots cannot harness this because of their own blinkered self interest.

yes i would agree on all the teams getting a fair share of the tv moneys, as long as this money went on new players as such. I do not want this money to go into the club owners pockets, this is fans generated money here. we are always going on about having no competition well, this could make a difference, giving teams bit of slack and getting a better player older or younger from English divisions. our club could not object to this, the only game in town might have been the old firm but if every club makes an effort this can only be good for football in general. i don't agree on gate sharing, as that has nothing to do with any other, as that is a fans choice.

Together, along with the artist formerly known as the Hun, we've been * enough teams for personal gain over the years. If we really want their demise to be a springboard toward cultivating our domestic game then maybe now is the time for us to make some sacrifices.

A fair redistribution of the TV income would be a positive step towards the Nirvana of sporting and financial integrity with which we all seem to have become rather enamoured in recent weeks. As things stand, a league where two teams syphon of the lions share of tv revenue and can veto any form of reform represents neither.

But if Doncaster/Regan/Sky think TV income is all dependant on those 2 teams playing 4 games against eachother - then surely the TV split is fair?

Basically they've negotiated a * contract & the set-up is very poor, with no leadership or forethought at all.

Scrap the lot, especially the blazers & bring in guys who know their stuff to sort it out. I'd ask Mark Wotte to step up to the plate, with suggestions he's already in place in terms of future development & is aware of our problems - I'm also prepared to accept that he's not a Mason :)97:).

Anyway, if this amount of Gerrymandering is being done for TV contracts, based on 4 OF games - then surely Celtic must have a certain amount of clout in any re-strcucturing debate...I hope we do & I hope we are on the ball with it.

He can't move them to England. They must have 3 years audited accounts, have applied to the FA for membership and for them to have space available for them. They have none of this.

They don't have a stadium or any players either.

I for one think being screwed over by the smaller spl teams will send some of them bust, so * them. As for us, I think that with our current squad, our transfer policy, which will reap the benefits in the future, and with the youths coming through, we won't feel the hund loss too heavily. And I agree with some previous points on here, if the other spl teams get stronger and more competitive then the Newco will find it tougher when the come back, and also adds the incentive for them trip grab European spots and maybe help us rather than hinder us with the Scottish coefficients.
