You would rather ask a forum full of people you don't know rather than a doctor?

Heading for a wee breakdown mate unless you find a release valve. You cant go around feeling like that for any length of time....you will burst.
However, i think its good you recognise your symptoms and have taken at least this step of talking on here.Maybe it will help.

Are you frightened? For yourself, your future, your baby?Do you still love your girl?Do you feel trapped?

    No, you are.

I’m a doctor and I recognise the symptoms.

I get like that a bit when I'm stressed out. You worried about the baby? Worried you will be made redundant again? * off you had to spend your savings?

Could be depression.. Could be anxiety relating to the impending birth of your child, or could be a mixture of both. You have to see a doctor though. Depression is a deadly condition. Don't let them fob you off with happy pills, by all means take them but you need additional help beyond that. Cognitive therapy is good, and im confident you can get that on the NHS. But anything that looks at rewiring your thinking as opposed to just rebalancing chemicals is good, a mixture of the two is ideal.

Unless you're being melodramatic in which case it should pass.

    are you half female?

Also if its been going on that long I guess its not anxiety and could still be depression but sounds more like an anger issue. Still treatable, and if you don't know how you're missus puts up with it and you feel bad you really should make an effort to get it sorted.

How exactly does she get it?

    That sounds a bit menacing…

    Are you beating her?

Is this why you don’t want to go to the doctor?

You could have a chemical imbalance. Anyhow, it would be selfish of you not to see a doctor. If you're really bothered about putting an end to this you'll get off talkceltic for half hour and call the doctors :50:

    Ah right.

Well as long as you can control yourself not to get to that level, you’re probably curable :50:
