Congratulations to Spain and John Terry on their celebrations.

 

Spain are incredible. There's a lot been said about them but really there's not much you can say about them that's not been said.

They have deserved there success, they are the best team by far on the International Scene. Both in terms of first XI and depth of squad.

 

Serious man crush on Torres.

 

Give torres someone who can put him through with ease, and he'd be the epl's top scorer. Maybe with drogba gone he'll get his chance

Jesus a couple goals against ireland and another against a knackered 10 man italy team and now people are acting like hes great again.

Spain really raised their game tonight, that was their best performance in the tournament by far.

I don't feel the same excitement when I watch them now that I used to feel though. I think I've just got too used to seeing them winning and would like to see someone else win for a change.

It's an honour to watch them play though. I sometimes ask older guys what it was like to watch the 1970 Brazil team, I reckon in a few years time there will be young guys asking me what it was like to watch this Spain team. They're that good.

 

I reckon he'll be much better next season with better players around him, it's obvious how good he can be with proper service. No more Malouda, Sturridge and Kalou, now they'll have some real quality around him.

Scored in two Euro finals in a row, he may not be on same level as few years ago but he's still capable of doing it on big stage.

Spain were at their very best tonight against what has to be said, an Italy team on their last legs.

As for Torres, he's a great sub to bring on when your team's winning.

 

He might be better with hazard, mata etc behind him but i dont think there will be much difference tbh, he might have hulk to contend with aswell if chelsea get him assuming chelsea continue to play 1 upfront.

 

Hulk doesn't play in the same position of him. It'll be Torres in the middle, with Hazard and Hulk around him. 3 upfront.

It'll be really good I think. He is still a good player and once he gets confidence back up I think people will say the player that he actually is.

People see the £50m price tag and what he used to be and think that he is absolutely * now, he isn't he is still a very good player.

 

Mata and torres have a great understanding together as well.

 

Does anyone know if the bookies are paying out on torres for the golden boot.

I know 6 players are on 3 goals,torres and gomez got 3 goals plus an assist each which put them above the other 4,but torres has played less minutes.

I've got torres an gomez on but will get more money back for torres,wish he scored the 4th lol.

Fantastic performance from Spain. Absolute perfection. A lot of people forget how strong they are defensively as well, only one goal conceded the whole tournament and haven`t conceded in their last 10 Knockout games as well I think. The greatest ever international side. Good to see Torres come on and play so well. I hope he pushes on and returns to the player he was. He was my favourite non Celtic player when he was playing at Liverpool. This team is still quite young as well and some of the talent they have coming through is scary. Spain will dominate for a long, long time imo
