    GSPL giants Celtic are interested in resurrecting the career of Manchester City flop Michael Johnson.
    The Glasgow club want to bring Johnson, 24, to Celtic Park on an initial season-long loan deal with a view to buying the box-to-box midfielder for a cut price fee.
    Johnson has made just 4 league appearances for City in the past four seasons, after being blighted by serious injuries and accusations of a bad attitude. He joined Leicester City on a season-long loan last July but managed just 7 appearances before injury forced him to return to the Etihad.
    Johnson broke into the Manchester club’s first team in 2006 and starred the following season, scoring twice and earning rave reviews for his technique and work rate.
    Celtic boss Neil Lennon is willing to offer Johnson a lifeline north of border and City are will listen to any offers for the midfielder, who is not set to be included in their 23-man squad for the new season.

    The bit in bold seals it for me. No point in bringing someone like that in, when there are undoubtedly better options out there. Plus, the source is awful. No offence to you personally, but those websites just make up stories to get hits.

    He used to look a good player but turned into a fat *. Wouldnt want him but he is a player who could come good again.

    I really liked Michael Johnson when he was first coming through, looked a bit of a star. Caught offside is a load of bollocks though.

    I'd file this one under bullshit.

    When he broke through to the man city first team he was set for the big time. Can remember him he was brilliant then got injuryed not played alot in the last 3 years and not likely to get a chance now at man city. Worth a shot if true

    He had the world at his feet and threw it all down the pan. Can't believe he is still at City now tbh.

    I think he's lost his chance personally and will probably flounder in the lower leagues for the rest of his career.

    it does say that its a loan deal with option to buy .. no harm in that really.

    if he is * / gets injured, then he will be offski
    if he is good, then we can try buy him, and if un-successfull, then at least he would have more than likely done a job for us, even if be for a season

    As a loan deal it would be a good option, he did have a * of a lot potential when he first came through.
