That whole bit in bold is just incorrect, but the part underlined, in particular, is insane. Murray beat Nadal in the semis of the 2008 US Open, and the quarters of the 2010 Australian Open; and Djokovic has dominated Nadal (apart from at the French Open) for over 18 months now. By contrast, Murray has never beaten Roger Federer in a Grand Slam, so none of your points above are true, and in fact, each one point you make in that entire passage seems more ridiculous than the one that came before it! No offence, but this just seems like the kind of post you'd read from someone who doesn't really follow tennis.

I don't really like Federer but even I can admit he is undoubtedly the greatest player ever

*Scratches head in confusion and disbelief* How is any of that remotely his fault?! Hate the media for that, if you must, but it simply has nothing to do with Andy that other people give him 'too much' attention.

I said Murray can't beat Djokovic in an important match, not that Djokovic can't beat Nadal....

Murray has never beaten any of them in a slam of course and they're all far better than him but I just feel Murray has a far better chance against Federer than the other 2.

The prospect of Agnieszka Radwanska winning has been in the back of my mind ever since she trounced Heather Watson so clinically and so absolutely in the third round. What began as a throwaway thought that she might actually win Wimbledon has been growing round by round. I'm a Vika Azarenka fan myself, and she was the only one I thought would stop Rawanska.

You can never rule out Serena Williams (and I never would anyway; she's another one of my favourites) - and all my reasoning says she's odds-on - but I just have the feeling that this could be Radwanska's Championship. I don't know if Agnieszka has all the weapons to deal with Serena, but she's just looked so composed and imperious for most of the tournament. You look at how she closes matches out, and the word 'champion' comes undeniably to mind.

To the bit in bold - *buries head in hands* Didn't you read what I just said? Murray has beaten Nadal in Slams - twice!

As to the bit underlined - don't take this the wrong way, but what you meant is kind of immaterial: it's incorrect either way!

Here's a direct quote of what you said:

What I initially took from that was that you were saying something along the lines of, 'Murray can't beat Nadal, and Djokovic can't either' - and if I mistook that, then I apologise. Now I can understand that you might have meant something like, 'Murray can't beat Nadal, and he can't beat Djokovic either' - but even so, that's still wrong! So, sorry for misunderstanding you at first, but Murray definitely can (and has) beaten Nadal at the v highest level; and - unless you're specifically referring to Slams (which you never said you were) - he's proven he can beat Djokovic too.

I would, rather harshly I know, discount any of those as proper big games though. In the finals and really, really important moments Murray has so far come up short, everyone keeps saying he will defo win a slam..... they normally say that a few comforting seconds after yet another defeat, normally at the hands of Nadal.

This year has to be his year, or else that mythical triumpth will stay mythical.

So you wouldn't class the victories Murray has had in grand slams over Nadal as 'really important' but you bring up the fact Nadal beats Murray in grand slam semis?

Those were Grand Slam semis and quarters versus Rafael '11 Slams' Nadal - those are pretty much the v definition of 'a big game': the only ones bigger are Slam finals. Ok, so he hasn't proven it in a final yet, but he's more than proven himself against Rafa in the second week of Slams.

Fantastic for him to have reached he final.Even without Nadal he had a tough draw, and oddly enough, i felt more pressure on him to get to the the final after Nadal lost.
Anyway he is there.I would love for him to win and will be cheering him on, but i am not at all confident.I think he can win, but its a big ask.I think if he can win the first he could go on from there.Has to win a set in a final one day........................ doesnt he?

Whatever happens on the day.....i confidently predict tears!
