I think some of you may be missing the point I am putting across, Rogne simply is not good enough, you are only as strong as your weakest link and in domestic as well as European games he will be exposed for what he is. Are you saying that there is nobody else out there in what is a buyers market in general that we could replace him with at a reasonable price.
When he has another terrible game and it costs us vital points or much as I hate to say it a place in Europe then it is to late.
It is fine being true to Celtic, you must also be true to yourself and ask yourself does this guy warrant a place in a team that has to do well in European competitions this year.

have u seen a handsome hun
Afraid i too think Rogne is a liability.......he'll play 5 games and look like a superstar and then make an error that costs points.......he thinks he's beckenbauer and he's not even close.......However i do believe he's a bhoy who'll improve and with no huns breathing down our necks in the title race he may just get the opporchancity to learn whilst playing every game....if he cuts out the stupid errors he'll be great.......and losing pre-season games is not a problem.......anyone remember Arsenal spanking us about 6-1 at celtic park.......it was the pre season of our centenary year.....we went on and won a double.

I didn't see the game last night, only heard the result and tbh i'm still not overly worried. Plenty of times down the years we've been humped in pre season and it's meant nothing.

We're a better team than we've shown so far and I guarantee we'll see that once the season starts.

People thinking Rogne is a weak link? For his age when he is fit, he is one of the most composed and acomplished CB's I have seen at parkhead in a long time.

Could not agree more. I know he makes a few mistakes but as i have said before he's the best CB we have at Celtic park. Injury prone sadly, which stops and starts his consistency. I have been impressed with his organisation, clearing his lines etc but yesterday he was just *, like a lot of them. I am willing to write it off if we put in better performances against Norwich and Inter ahead of the biggest game of our season - the first.

If he is one of the most composed and accomplished cb's we have then we are in trouble lads. No if's buts or maybe's we are behind the eight ball in Europe straight away.

Rogne is arguably the best centre back we have at the club right now, with Mulgrew second. That may speak volumes about the lack of great central defenders we have, but it's also the truth.

I don't see why Rogne is getting all of the blame for this. I never like to criticize our management team, but I think they got it wrong playing only three at the back. That works in the SPL, against Hearts and Hibs, but it won't work against these lightning quick European teams.

Friendly or not, we all watched how easy it was yesterday for their speedy and skilful players to slice us open, due to having depleted numbers back defending. Thank * it happened in pre season and not in the CL qualifiers. Hopefully it's a lesson learned by all.

Rogne is our best CB, undoubtedly. The only bad game I can remember him having (aside from yesterday) is the League Cup final in 2011. He's consistent and steady and will only get better.

Rogne is class. Positioning is great, heading is great. Young. He has a bad game in a friendly. Who really cares? From these mistakes * learn and become even better. Just you wait till he's bossing messi about in a couple years.

Don't put yourself through it. The highlight from a Celtic perspective was the fact that our new away kit looks * sexy :56:

    Best I've seen in ages.

If Rogne never gave that goal away, Mulgrew would have performed just as bad if not worse than Rogne. Why is Rogne being singled out just because he isn't a fan favourite?

Cheers, what a roasting. Shows you how far behind we have fallen in terms of the rest of Europe. Suppose it's better to warm up against strong sides and take a tanking than hammer wee diddy teams (even though we can't even do that) and let the players get even more complacent.

Think we should be looking to bring in a high quality coach from the continent, using the money freed up from Thommo leaving. Someone to help introduce a better standard of passing and movement to our game.

I'd bring back John Barnes... there's a guy that had some good tactical ideas up his sleeve, just a pity our board are racist and didn't understand.
