    Anyone been to berlin or amsterdam?

    Going with my mates on 26th june for 4 days to berlin then flying from berlin on 30th june to amsterdam and staying there for 4 days and home on 4th July.

    Just wondering what the best things to do there are? What's the best clubs to go to etc?

    Been a while since I was in Berlin but I do have friends there. If you say what kind of things you like doing music wise etc I can ask the guys in Berlin for recommendations.

    Remember there is a new law in Holland that makes it illegal for foreign visitors to buy or smoke weed in/from coffee shops now if your thinking about going to the dam for a cheeky wee puff.

    the law doesn't come into effect in amsterdam until may 2013 i believe :50:

    i was in the dam for 4 days with 2 mates in december. unless you like your smoke there is nothing really i can help you with :56:

    although i will say visit the van gough museum and anne franks house as i enjoyed both of these.

    I've been to Amsterdam, go to the supermarket and stock up on some beer because it's usually 7/8 Euros for a pint in most pubs. We found a couple that were cheaper but generally it's more expensive.

    We went to a club called Escape in the Rembrandtstraat area, really enjoyed it but again, expensive for drink.

    that hasn't happened yet and the coffee shops have also said the will still sell it to foreigners when it has been made illegal.
    if you're looking to drink I have heard these party tours are cheaper http://www.joinultimateparty.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=25&Itemid=22 give that a look you might prefer doing something like that

    no worries mate, i keep my ear to the street on such issues because i enjoy amsterdam's coffee shops at least twice a year :icon_mrgreen:

    and as smithy has said; there is no way in * the coffee shops are going to turn away people and loose out on cash. think of the dent in the economy if suddenly no one went to amsterdam to smoke? massive amounts of money lost.

    Not a lads holiday, going as a couple to Amsterdam in July, where we're planning to take in a few coffee shops and now, as an added treat. a Celtic game :50:

    anyone else heading over for the game on the 21st of July?

    Yeah I will be taking the wife to her first Celtic game!! Worked out awesome for us, after a month travelling round Europe, our last week is in the 'dam and now Celtic are playing there!! Result!!
