I can only really go on what Ive seen of him on match of the day and, on that basis, it would have to be a no thanks. Any time i see him his shots aren't even on target, never mind scoring. I'd rather we go for someone a bit more clinical and, preferably, taller as well though that's not essential.

Lets be honest, this guy has immense potential. He was linked to Spurs in January, strongly linked with Villa under MON and Arsenal at that time too. He plays for a team always struggling in the EPL, which goes some way to explaining his goal return. He is very highly rated down here. This season he has a few injuries which I think is why we have a chance of getting him, or if the Colombian press are believed have got him . I think he would be and an excellent signing. He's strong, quick and decent in the air. Even if he doesn't set the heather on fire, we will be able to move him on for a couple of million to a Spanish, South American or newly promoted EPL club. He's free, so its a limited risk gamble.

A great addition. Now if we can sign a no.1, big FF or Gordon, and a big CB, and I hope that is Mills, I think we have a team to qualify for the UEFA CL and win 2iar. Depending on who leaves we might be able to add Rhodes too! Just hope we hold on to big Victor, but if Chelski want him we should be able to make a massive profit and I trust Lennon to replace him and Ki

Can see this happening if we offload Ki but I don't think he is as good as people make out sure he was linked with Arsenal but that was after a productive season last season he was gash and lets face it if any pl team were really after him he would be there by now

Doesn't score very many, but has scored at the highest level.

Is pretty fast & strong, would probably do well in SPL & give us experience for the CL.

Only scored 3 headers in 24 goals, don't know if he can play as a lone striker?

Doubt that he'd justify the £20+ a week wages, unless he really hits form & finds his feet quickly.

Can see why Lenny/Lawell would give him a gamble, would probably make a profit if we sell him in a year, if it doesn't work out.

Rodallega then joined Celtic on the 16/06/2012 stating he had joined to team up with lenny and put the nail in the huns coffin [17]

I wouldn't be over the moon with this but I wouldn't be too disappointed.

Better than most of the players we are being linked with.

Off the back of a bad season, but he's still a very good player. Fantastic signing if true, strong, fast, good in the air and can't half shoot. Him and Hooper up front would be deadly. Rodallega can be played as the target man, everything sticks to him, and Hooper's deadly instinct.

The harsh reality is that he wont come to us despite being able to offer him Champions League football, he'll be able to double his wages in England and play for a mediocre team that are more than happy to finish 15th.

I could be wrong but with rangers getting punted to the 3rd division i would imagine we will down size our squad costs etc selling ki will allow for us to sign a player on high wages while still cutting back.

Highly doubt it. With Rangers gone a significant proportion of our income will be gone, assuming they don't get back in the SPL instantly. The only way to get this back is to regularly challenge for Champions league football. Our team at present is possibly still not good enough, we'll find out soon but downsizing would just be retarded.

Not only would it annoy us the Celtic fans, but it would probably have the effect of reduced ticket sales and sponsorship/tv deals with * players.

Celtic and the SPL needs to make sure that we stay interested in our team and the league and i don't see why we would with worse players and still no real competitors.

No, it wouldnt. We play Rangers twice a season, if tickets were 42 pounds and they bought 8,000 tickets, twice a season, it would be well under a million pounds. Hardly a large proportion of our income.
