Penalties 2011/12

Just wondering if anyone can tell me all our penalties in all competitions this season, who took them and if they scored.

I know Broony scored 4
Hooper scored 1
Ki scored 1

not sure about the others and who missed

 

Commons missed one and hooper missed one i think.

 

I know Hooper missed 1 first game of the season against hibs, Ki missed 1 against dunfermline and Commons missed 1 when St Johnstone beat us at home, think that's it though, not 100% sure

Commons missed against St.Johnstone but don't worry it's a common mistake to make

 

Stokes missed one im sure. Cant remember when though.

where did you find that info btw? or just off memory?

 

It's off another forum that I occasionally have a browse on. Was started by a Hearts fan (I think) trying to prove that Celtic and Rangers get more penalties than the rest of the league. Backfired when it turned out his own team got the most penalties in Scotland this season with 11!

 

Basically then our " penalty crisis " was actually us scoring 70% of all penalties we had?

Going forward next season i'd like to see Brown continue hitting them. He's proved he obviously has the temperament

Personally i'd like to see Mulgrew get a shot on them. He's shown he can strike through the ball. Ideally Commons would also take them.

 

Brown was the solution to the penalty crisis. Before he started taking penalties we missed 3/4 penalties.

 

Stokes is missing from that list. He definitely missed at least one, have it in my head missed twice tho but couldn't tell you for certain

 

We missed 3 out of our first 4, and given our shocking record from the past couple of seasons we were in a bit of a penalty crisis before brown steadied the ship.

 

He didn't take one this season, missed a couple last season though.

 

I could have swore it was this season as well though my memory is not the best at times. If that list is accurate then we actually have a better record than i thought from the spot. Still, I wouldn't fancy seeing us in a shootout

 

Interesting point that. I've always felt that we've actually got a team full of players who are in theory great penalty takers (Hooper, Stokes, Ki, Commons to name a few) yet our primary penalty taker is the one who shows more composure and coolness under pressure rather than anything else.

Seeing us in a shootout situation would be just a little bit tense!
