Since the good weather has come out, I'm sure we've all been enjoying going out and sitting in beer gardens, but one thing that I've noticed recently is the price of drinks in pubs, including non-alcoholic drinks. The other day, I was waiting on my mate for lunch in a pub in Glasgow. I was driving and because it was so warm, I asked the barman for a pint of soda water and blackcurrant. He went to the till to check the price, and I had just taken my first sip and he said "that'll be 2 pounds please sir". I nearly choked on it, and he just looked at me blankly and said "that's how much it is, I'm afraid". I mean, how can they justify 2 pounds for a bit of carbonated water, and a dash of cordial? It means they're making about £1.50 profit on one drink alone and I would just be as well getting a pint of lager for what I was paying. What is the most you've ever had to pay for a drink in a pub, and do you think these prices are killing the industry, as most pubs are dead during the week?

Its the cost of soda drinks that really * me off, in the USA you get free refills almost everywhere, yet here you need to keep paying for a diet coke or coke at like 1.50 or 2 quid, maybe more and it costs them pennies. Ridiculous rip off to get soda drinks anywhere apart from Pizza hut or a place like that where they offer free refills.

I once spent an hour waiting in one pub, only to have been stuck behind this * trying to talk to a barmaid that clearly wasn't interested, in the slightest.

By the time she rang the Polis and I eventually did get served they'd * ran outta tennents so had to buy a Peroni at £5

was down in London last year and was in a sports bar at trafalgar square and was paying £4.50 a pint, then went down to the embankment and seen a cocktail bar with a happy hour from 5-7. we got in at 5.10 and stayed to 7.
every drink was half price. my wife and sis-in -law were drinking cocktails which cost £10-14 for £5-7, and me and my bruv were drinking pints which should have cost £6 for 3 quid.

    thieving, robbing cockney b*st*rds. :56:

Festival season here, at the moment, so beer prices are up to $6 a drink. Twice what they usually are.

Was in this nightclub in Battersea, London last month called Bunga Bunga, knew it was posh as some of the girls I was with who were locals told me about seeing Prince Harry and that type of mob in there.

Went straight in and up to the bar with these other 3 lads, ordered 4 jaegerbombs for us thinking it'll be about £4 a jaeger since its quite high tier so pulled out a £20 and the guy behind the bar still stood there lookin at me funny. Turned out it was £9 a * jaeger so nearly £40. Was absolutely affronted.

Paisley boys dont belong in this type of establishment.

That 02 place, used to be the carling centre, was like £7 for a bottle of beer, The price of drinks in bars and clubs in the city are a rip off, you'll need to spend at least £50 if you're out all night drinking, if you're buying your bird drinks then even more !
