Norwich should open up more like us and let there be a few goals at either end in the second. Fans deserve a few goal and Norwich are playing it too safe for a testimonial.

We need an upgrade over Stokes in the Summer. I know he scores goals, but I don't rate him at all. And his body language and attitude on the pitch stinks tbh.

Decent half. Probably should have scored, but the defence looks leaky, which I guess is understandable with McGeough at RB and a 16 year old at CB. I could be wrong, but I think the total age of our back 4 is 73. Watt looks good, Ibrahim's made some good runs, Stokes looking positive. All in all can't complain, we've held our own against a strong premiership team, playing a strong side, with a very inexperienced team.

 

We have like 8 attacking players, a lot of them fringe or youth, on the pitch and theirs is almost their strongest team, so yes, we've played quite well all things considered.

 

He can run... Doesn't look a footballer, otherwise.

 

Hes pretty quick and got hes got a good engine. Dont think hes as bad as some people make out. Wouldnt want him near our first team right enough.

 

At the game and the only thing I can say is Sammy's been *

 

I know this is just a friendly but here's my opinion of the players in the first half.
Forster - hasn't had to do much
McGeouch - isn't playing well since he's not a RB
K. Wilson - decent
Findlay - has he even touched the ball?
Blackman - pushes up too far and doesn't come back fast enough
Ibrahim - impressed, good technically but needs to work on the physical aspect
McCourt - played well, good passes, good defending
Commons - played alright
Stokes - holds onto the ball too much and tries to dribble in himself too much
Hooper - seems a little lazy
Watt - played good, just not his day

 

By that fact I should be playing LB! He is pretty poor. Good game so far I think if we had our starting 11 we could be 1 up.

 

I think Blackmans doing ok, He hasnt had much game time so i'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say that all his bad passes and touches were because of lack of game time but he seems to be pretty fast he's getting up and down that pitch like his life depends on it

 

The English commentator * me off, and Hartson did by not correcting him, how can he call it "the poznan" and then in the very same sentence say "started by Man City".... ey?!? Surely by your logic it was started by Lech Poznan???
Celtic have done it before them as well anyway!

Oh well, never mind. Shame we're 1 down as I thought we actually played better, or at least it was 50/50. Norwich just more clinical.

 

I also think that Blackman is doing alright ! Very pacey and decent going forward.

 

dont think blackman was one of the lads dancing round the trophy the day of the title celebrations. think it was wanyama, ibrahim and bangura
