Something like this http://www.ebuyer.com/341323-sumvision-android-cyclone-media-player-android-2-2-cycloneandroid but with windows installed to copy through home network.

you wont be able to copy them I dont think, but you can stream from your computer to console, plus if you have a usb pen as you said, it can play from that, I have an xbox 360, I can stream movies from my pc to it. If im downloading alot of files and have a lot of network traffic, then I just copy movies to either my pen or external hdd and play from that, good thing about a console connected to the net is that it gets regular updates that support file new file types

Im trying to get away from having to put the files on usb to watch & my internet speed isnt the greatest for streaming.

I was checking out media players but not sure if you can get one with built in wireless

i dont see how this fixes your problem m8. this is a media streamer with a usb port to play movies from. you cant transfer your movies and store them on the device, only stream or play from a usb drive which youve said you dont want.

I was looking for a way of playing downloaded movies in the bedroom, started off just hooking the laptop to the TV but then bought a cheap smart TV off Gumtree and play movies through that from an external hard drive.
