Just read that. The Beatie Boys were pioneers in the hip hop communtiy. Sabotage, Intergalactic, Alive etc are great tunes. Even The Hot Sauce Committee Pt 2 is a great album.

    RIP Adam Yauch/MCA.

In a strange way, I feel as though a small part of my musical life has just passed. Admittedly, I was never the biggest fan of the Beasties, but they had some cranking tunes through the years. They were a constant, in an industry that is forever shifting. Will always remember them at the Summersault Festival in 1995.

    Sad News. :rip_1:

R.I.P made some * top tunes that even though they were before my time still held relevance and definitely contributed a great deal to the hip-hop genre

    RIP MCA

sad news. I was just listening to the "Check Your Head" album yesterday. I listened to the Beastie Boys a lot when I was a teenager in the '90s and saw them a few times live.

R.I.P , these guys actually got respected in an era where it was mostly black americans that dominated the music scene in the 80/90's. Their as raw as hip hop come, and probably the influence on a lot of rapper/dj's today

Genuinely saddened by the news of MCA passing. Grew up listening to the beastie boys from an early age. Heaven will be a more rocking place. RIP Adam.
