    I think it was against Motherwell in either 98 or 99. I was only 4/5 so I don't really remember too much about it

    Dundee away in 1979, i was 5 and i refused to go with my dad unless he promised to buy me a cowboy suit. Still get pelters about it to this day.

    Just checked there, Hartson's debut was against Kilmarnock in a 1-0 victory. His first goals came in the match I attended, though. 5-1 demolition of United...the big Welshman grabbing a hat-trick. What a start to a career at any club. :icon_mrgreen:

    Loadsa young yins on here! First game I remember Hibs 6-3 League cup final, 2 hat tricks, Dixie n Roll out the barrel Harper for Hibs. Was in Celtic Park for the Lions homecomin aged 7months! P.S. Wi ma Maw n Da.

    Yeah, I remember that game. We won 5-1 and Hartson had played a few games and hadn't scored but that game scored a hat-trick.

    no idea what my first celtic game was but my earliest memory of one was in teh european ties against Croatia Zagreb or FC Zurich, or maybe even both but I know I was at one of them.

    After those the first game I 100% remember was vs. FC Porto in the Champions League group stage when we beat them 1-0 in 2001. I was right in front of the the ball boy that the porto guy tried to push over the railings.

    My first Celtic game that I can properly remember was when I was 9; pre-season just before the start of Martin O'Neill's 2nd season and we beat Sunderland 1-0 in a friendly, I think Larsson with a penalty.
    My first Celtic league game was a week later where we unfurled the flag. We beat St Johnstone 3-0 Mjallby scored and Lambert scored 2. I always remember Lambert was outstanding that day.

    1986 European cup match v Shamrock Rovers who I also support. Unfortunately that was the dreaded rapid vienna fiasco season but great times all the same :celt_2:

    The first one l can remember is around 1968 against Ayr l think at Hampden. My dad had a season ticket so l was probably at games from around 1966/7 but can't remember as l had no doubt my eyes peeled looking for money and ginger bottles. l can picture my dad carrying bottles back to the car for me (no plastic bags in these days)

    l was having a good day today until reading these posts made me realise my age. :54: :56:

    I cant go to games as often as many of you can.. Too frequently I'm on the other side of the Atlantic. But for the more memorable ones, I put together a collage frame which as some photos I took during the match, as well as the match ticket. I keep them in my living room. Theyre really nice mementos!
