Is Ronnys prefered formation 4231?Sure I read he likes 433? I know we have been playing 4231 but maybe that's because of the players at his disposal?Maybe im talking * ha ha

I remember reading an interview where he said that 4-3-3 would be his preferred formation of he had the right players at his disposal. That was when he was at Strømsgodset though.

Exactly as it stands just now that is our strongest team. Both Armstrong and GMS provide depth, competition and flexibility. And long term options.:50:

Currently I would say the team that played sevco is our strongest if you swap Griffiths for Stokes and play Guidetti up front.

However, I think the new guys will play their way into it:

    ---------------------------------Gordon

    Lustig----------------Denayer-----------Van Dijk-----------------Izaguirre

    ------------------------Brown---------------Biton

    GMS----------------------------Johansen-------------------------Armstrong

    ----------------------------------Guidetti/Griffiths

    Subs:
    Commons
    Henderson
    Matthews
    Forrest
    Zaluska
    Griffiths/Guidetti
    Stokes

    Great squad

Commons will be gutted...don't see how you can drop him.

I think GMS will walk into the team - we have no decent right wingers (Forrest on his day, maybe).

Armstrong will have to fight for his place. Ronny won't drop Johansen, Brown, he might drop Commons, but I wouldn't and it would be well harsh on Bitton if he was benched. He's been outstanding recently.

    My team would be:

    Gordon

    Lustig Denayer Van Dijk Izaguirre

    Brown Biton

    McKay-Stevens Commons Johansen

    Griffiths

I can see Armstrong replacing Biton if he gets injured or goes off the boil and maybe playing on the right with Johansen dropping back to partner Brooney.

spot on . Harsh on Stokesy but i think GMS will walk into the side as he is a proper winger ( a good one ), something we desperately lack .

    *, forgot about Stokes.

Makes it more difficult. Wouldn't like to be Ronny.

Well, I'd love to be Ronny but you know what I mean.

    Hilarious, sexy Norweigian *.

The problem is that Johannson is far better further up the park where his energy and hard running puts pressure on the opponents defence. When he plays further back he tends to give the ball away cheaply .

I think for next seasons CL qualifiers strongest team could be:

    ---------------Craig---------------

    Michael - Jason - Charlie - Emilio

    ---------Broon----Stu Arm--------

    ----Kris------Stefan----McGeady

    --------------John G*--------------

    *Maybe Stokes or maybe Griffin

Subs bench: Lukaksz, Adam Matthews, Zionist, Gary McKay Steven, James Forrest, Anthony Stokes, Lee Griffiths

It's hard to pick an XI now, as I like Forrest, Johansen, Henderson, Armstrong, Griffiths and Stokes and only 4 can play but even then that means no Commons, Mackay-Steven, Scepovic, Guidetti. Plus thats just forgetting about McGregor, Tonev, Boerrigter and Wakaso.

    14 players for 4 positions.

Just had a look at the official website, was reading about todays development game and it states we played a 433 formation,Im sure I read that Ronny wanted all of our teams playing same formation,is this a sign we will see a change with the first team after our recent signings?

    First 7 basically pick themselves.
    Gordon
    Lustig Denayer Van Dijk Izaguirre
    Brown Biton
The dilemma is choosing any 3 of Stokes, Commons, Johanson, Forrest, Henderson, Mackay-Steven and Armstrong (possibly McGregor if he reverts back to his early season form) and choosing between Griffiths and Guidetti. If we can keep rotating and keep everyone on form we should have a great set up, going into each game energized and knowing that injuries in those forward areas aren't really going to weaken our team.

    Gordon
    Lustig - VVD - Denayer - Izzy
    Mulgrew
    Brown - Armstrong
    Forrest ---------------- GMS
    Thumb

    Zaluska
    Bitton
    Ambrose
    Stokes
    Guidetti
    Commins
    Matthews

Assuming the dundee boys are a good fit even if armstrong has a * accent
Mulgrew and Forrest will need to prove themselves more
Griffiths and VVD take frees unless Guidetti's on, dunno about corners
Come the champions league next year (hopefully) this could be the team with the most amount of home country players in the group stages.

Bitton has been great recently, but not sure he's an automatic pick both, Henderson and Armstrong could challenge for that place.

Armstrong I don't really know too much about, don't see that Henderson could play there though, he's far more of a Johansen type, getting forward and pressing from the front rather than breaking up play and starting attacks.
