Turn your back on Newco in the SPL on Sunday

Most pointless thing ever.

 

It is the 15th minute as next season will be the 15th season of the SPL.

It's not pointless and if you are going to the game join in with the rest of the support. With banners and appropriate chants this could be very effective. Don't be so stubborn just to make some of the support look bad. If the best part of 50,000 fans do this for about 30seconds to a minute it will be picked up on all over the footballing world.

 

Turning your back for 30 seconds is not going to be picked up on.... It's not sensational and the likely hood is most in the stadium won't even know what's happening... There would need to be most of the stadium doing it for the cameras to even pick up on it. you can't expect 50thousand people to know what's happening and to join in When there's been next to no advertising of this outside some forums.. Even if everyone did know what was happening half of the people wouldn't be arsed doing it or might not want to risk missing something on the pitch...

 

Thats why i am saying we need everyone to particpate. And if theres a banner that sends the message turn your back to a newco i'm sure those who have not picked up on it before the game should click when they see it.

 

I think that the problem is we are Celtic fans, I think they would take it as given that we would protest them getting back in. If every other club did the same it might hold a bit more gravitas in the eyes of the wider world, but just us isn't going to change anything. They know we don't want Rangers back in the SPL.

 

If our support all knew to applause Petrov on the 19th minute, and last season we done something for Lennon to show support and the whole stadium took part then I dont see whats so different about this.

 

Tbh, I don't think acting pure mental is the aim of the game here.

 

You know, for all the opposition, the sneering and the downright taking the * on this thread, I'm willing to bet the vast majority of the stadium participates in this tomorrow.

So I'm not going to waste any more time trying to convince anyone.

Most of us at the game tomorrow will turn our backs for that minute, the majority of us will do it straight away, then the ones who are'nt will then do it so they don't look daft... I'd imagine Ian Crocker doing the commentary for sky will be aware why we are doing it and say so on TV. NO TO A NEWCO HUNS CHEATING THEIR WAY BACK !

 

And I'm sure the commentator will know the reasoning behind it as well.

bit drunk the now but would we not be going for 15 in a row when they are stripped of titles for cheating from 98?

 

i'll join in with this if it goes ahead but I still think there are (and probably will be knowing the GB) better, more impactful and more funny ways to oppose and giru the vermin.
