I can't comprehend any Celtic fan that would want them here. Yes they are very talented young players but that is exactly why we should want them to stay and develop at Dundee United. We already * Derek Riordan's career and there is no point in bringing them if they won't start every week. I want Dundee United to challenge us. I want our rivals to be as strong as possible, dead Huns or Sevco aside. I want us not to poach SPL players and finally I want us to look for european quality players and us to try and actually show some ambition in getting to the Champions League. Big fat NO but good luck for the season boys, you should get 2nd place.

I want them to stay at DUTD. There they can develop, get loads of first team experience & will improve the appeal of competition for the Scottish game - and it is this last factor that is most needed.

derek riordan * his own career he has no one to blame but himself for what happened at celtic his behavior was totally unacceptable. also both these players now look ready to leave dundee united and by staying it would only hinder there development

No point bringing them to sit on a bench and come on for the last 15min but dont get me wrong both outstanding young players but wouldnt make a move for them yet.

Nonsense. We should be aiming to constantly improve no matter what team we are buying players from. Trust me, Dundee Utd will bite your hand off for £2/3 million for any of these two players as it will be of far more use to them.

Na, don`t need them. Would rather the money was spent on other areas of the team. I think they would be better served staying at United for another season anyway

Think DU got some good money for Goodwillie, so they might not be in situation where they need to sell. Would benefit both players and club to for at least a year, if not more because they have first realistic chance in years to finish second. It would only rise players' price and benefit the team.

Both players wouldn't go straight away into first team, midfielders McGeouch, McCourt and Ibrahim are already trying to get some games and bringing in more fringe players will do nobody any good, especially now when club wants to cut the wage bill and sell bench warmers.

I would make Dundee united an offer just now say maybe 50 000 to 100 000 to be made aware of any bids or like a first buy option on both players as I too agree both players are not ready and may actually not be better than what we have in the squad just now

Offer them £2.5million for both and give them Ibrahim and Watt on loan :50:

GMS im not sure about. But Russell plays in the hole really well and would be ideal.

    Forster
    Matthews Rogne Mulgrew Izaguirre
    ??????? ???????
    Forrest Russell Commons
    Hooper

Would be ideal for SPL games, we could rotate Brown, Kayal, Wanyama and Ledley for the 2 CM positions and swap around the front 4 with GMS, McCourt, McGeouch, Samaras and Stokes.

    I'd prefer £2.5million spent on a Centre Back. :50:

    Same.

I don't think Russell is any better than Stokes or Hooper and Mackay-Steven no better than Forrest or Commons.

Ones for the future no doubt but DU will want top dollar and we just don't have it to splash on players we don't need (at the moment)

For the record if I had to have 1 join Celtic, it would be GMS.

We don't need either of them as we have a barrowload of wingers and midfielders.

Move along there, nothing to see here.

Would like to see Russell in Hoops but probably not worth the price. Still think Daly could do a job with us. All we ever seem to do is work the ball down the wings and cross it in which is ineffective when we have no player who attacks the ball.

I'd have bought GMS long before now, he is a quality winger and the Parkhead crowd would love him.

Have we been linked with them again or is this an old link?

GMS was a couple years below me at school, would be a cracking signing. Maybe not the quickest but can beat a man for fun and would be a great addition to the squad. Heres hoping there is some truth in the rumours.
