this sums it up quite well for me. europe is the key to dominating scotland. as it says above, europe brings bit teams, and big money to parkhead. and that leads to bigger and better players and general all round better and bigger club.

but one thing extra, our youth side has won three in a row and ran a mockery of the baby huns yesterday. they held their own and did very well in the next gen series, and weve seen a few come in and do well for the first team. they will have a big role to play in our future.

The average age of that Celtic team yesterday was 23 and with Kayal ,Forrest etc still to comeback in to it ,Celtic have a team that could possibly dominate Scottish Football for years to come .

Some will leave and new players will come in ,Lennon and his Scouts have a fantastic record in recruiting new players ,so it goes on and according to Peter Lawell yesterday ,he said the Champs League is were he wants to take Celtic ,big statement that needs backed up with money of course .

Lennon also said he needs a better quality in so they want to move on and they must believe they can do so if there coming out with it ,It looks good for the future of Celtic.

Btw ,* the huns cos they do not come in to Celtics equation ,Celtic hold there own destiny.

I think with the club debt growing slightly to 7 million i can see celtic selling one of our better players in the summer to bring the debt down again like we did with mcgeady.
That would let lennon keep building with some more young players, but one area we need to keep a eye on is FF he is yet to sign up with us and i can see him buggering off in the summer if a epl club comes knocking that would take a few million to replace, maybe even spending all our budget for the summer on a keeper.
The CL next year or even the next few years is going to be a bridge to far for celtic imo,i think our area will be europa untill this team is a few years older.
Even if they dont break up the huns and stick it all in a carboot sale i dont see anyone buying and throwing 20,30,40million at the club just to clear the non tax debt,so there is really no reason why celtic cant stay top of the pile for the next 5 to 10years.
It really depends on what players we can keep and for how long.

think we should sell ki for a bit of money and trim the squad down a bit and bring two quality centre halfs in were i think we still are weak there .

Who knows what the future holds, a long period of domestic dominance would be most welcome :shamrock:

I hope so. But I must admit I don't really like threads like this. I think all you can do is take each situation as it comes and try and win that. It's like earlier this season and all the treble talk. It's just asking for trouble when you get ahead of yourself I feel with that kind of talk.
As far as I am concerned the only thing I care about right now is that we are champions and now can focus on trying to win the cup starting with next Sundays semi-final against the diet huns.

i think if we can keep this team together for a couple more seasons, get rid of the deadwood and strenghten a small bit i think we will have a very succesful team for years to come. this team is a young side and there is also alot of younger players making the breakthrough so all the signs for the future are good

If we can keep our main core of players, get rid of the deadwood and bring in a bit of quality here and there - then yes, for sure.

Add the signings of some more young talent and bring through players from the academy and we will dominate for years:50:

Need to keep things in perspective- I am so happy we have won the league- but we still need hunger.appetite and desire-can we really keep that going for 10 in a row?
