    Last 16 is worth far more than any Europa run.1 we would start to build our battered reputation and 2.players would fancy coming to us again and players would be reluctant to leave.i would only swap last 16 for Europa final

    If we do well in the years with us as the only scottish team it will help Scotland's coefficient a lot. Because the points earned are averaged out by how many clubs from your country participate. Having several teams in qualifying and failing is a lot worse for Scotland's coefficient than having the likes of motherwell not compete at all. So starting off the year we are the ONLY Scottish team in CL, we can build a very, very solid coefficient base for Scotland that can be built upon for the next few years after. If we do well, that is.
