samaras deserves the left wing pos, he is clearly not a striker but we get the height factor with him on the left and he is good at running at our oponents, he desrves to start :50:

The best natural partnership that we have, Stokes and Hooper must start up front.

    Forster

    Matthews Rogne Mulgrew Ledley

    Forrest Brown Wanyama Samaras

    Stokes Hooper

We'll hammer those useless * with that team out. There is far too much quality in that starting line up for them to compete with.

That line up looks just about right to me, a solid CB pairing with strength in the MF, pace on the wings and the deadly duo up front :50:

Not even a consideration for me. Both our 20 goal strikers should start tomorrow. I would also start Samaras as well but on the left or our midfield.

I wonder if Stokes is a pal of Muamba being the same age and having played with him for a few years at Arsenal. Could be off his game tomorrow if the game goes ahead with whats happened.

I can't help but agree with this.

I love Gary Hooper, but wasn't his on-pitch attitude questioned last year? I know that was last year, but he's far from perfect.

He sulks a wee bit too much for me at times.

I really think Sir Neil comes down on Stokes way too hard.

It's a wrong move to play these two.

We're too attracted to the goals the two represent. They're both great at converting chances - usually.

    Just risky.

    MF was the killer today.

    Dreadful.

    Although Hooper was very poor.

They didn't get played together against them last year when their partnership was at it's best , I very much doubt they will after the performances in recent weeks.

I expect Hooper and Samaras up top.

Should drop both him and Hooper next week i would not even have them on the bench .

Hooper has been pish for ages and Stokes is a clown for his * dive.

Samaras as a lone striker on Sunday, with McCourt playing just behind him. It worked for us in January 2011, when they still had Miller, Naismith, Lafferty, Bougherra and McGregor on top form. It will work again now that they have been stripped down to their bare bones.

Hooper and Stokes deserve a stint on the bench. They are not playing as well as we all know we can, especially Hooper. If I remember correctly, the last time we benched Hooper, he came on and scored a few important goals, around November time.
