In my opinion was unfortunate to be a Celt in the same era as Larsson and Hartson because this man is a legend in his own right.

Same as Paul McStay this man could carry a team of 10 other guys on his shoulders and make it look easy.

He wasn’t unfortunate by any means.

Henrik Larsson and Chris Sutton are the greatest forward partnership to have ever played in the SPL. They were sensational together and sensational individually.

My point was he deserves so much more credit than he gets

 

Sutton and Thomo were the ULTIMATE hun skelpers

 

fantastic player .. great in the air and for a big man had great feet aswell .

Id have to agree .. larsson and sutton were a perfect match . They easily played off each other and knew each others movements.

But the term 'legend' is a bit extreme i think.

In my post i meant that the term 'legends' shouldn't be thrown around * nilly . The true legends at celtic are the likes of jinky and larsson. The ones worthy of statues outside cp .

 

Sutton is a legend, a lot better than a lot of £25million+ players playing at the moment.

Sutton, Hartson and Larsson are the reason why clubs need 3 top quality strikers! Im blessed to have watched them play for the hoops i dont think i'll see a player of there qualitys in the green and white for many many years to come.

I personally loved Sutton your right he doesn't get enough recognition he loved his time here, he gave us his all he scored us PLENTY! of game saving goals.

Some people have said not a 'legend' i have to disagree the guy was class.

 

He deserves a great deal of tribute, accolades, celebrations in his honour, etc. Smashing player in his time with us. I'd love to see us sign a similar player to boost this current side, but good luck finding one. Rare breed of player.

Sutton was dynamite either up front or at the back when he was asked to fill in. Very intelligent player. Think Larsson suggested he was the best striker he ever played with. Says it all for me.

 

Deserves all the plaudits going.

Whether it was centre forward, centre mid, or centre half, big Sutton was superb. A Celtic legend in my eyes, he'll always be remembered as being one half of one of the best striking partnerships Celtic has ever seen.

 

Not to be the panto baddie here, but he was never a midfielder.

MON lost the plot in his last season with team selection.
