Very intelligent man. It'd be great to hear from him again.

Hopefully we'll see him at the league party, this year.

    Good video.

29 mins in proves beyond doubt that it was not a minority who booed him that day.

Hopefully he comes back at the start of next season so we can rectify that mistake.

Yeah at the time Celtic fans were not as media savvy and the Scottish media kept peddling the biscuit tin mentality. I'm sure these days fans could see right through their * and see Fergus McCann is a legend.

a doubt that its taken for rangers to go bust for us to realize how great fergus was and also how right the current board are which up until a few months ago was still a very dodgy topic to talk about

Apparently Tommy Burns didn't like Fergus McCann. I wonder why............personality clash? Did he feel he didn't get enough financial backing?? Anyone know???

was it not that they disagreed on how the club should be run because fergus had a hand in everything including the management of the team and tommy felt that side of things should have been only his decision

like the funds and players he would sign the contracts he offered players tommy seen that as his expertise was right and as the one with football knowledge he didn't agree with fergus decision also his treatment of some players

I'd imagine the Di Canio situation was a part of it. Fergus promised Di Canio an improved contract if he played well in his first season at Celtic, Di Canio was POTY that season I think? Fergus then went back on his word and Di Canio left.

That must have * TB off.

Tommy and Davie Hay were both branded Catholic bigots and accused of being "Celtic Minded" by Fergus for having reservations about the "Bhoys against Bigotry" campaign.

Tommy said at the time :-

Davie Hay thought that Fergus was confusing bigotry for culture.

Fergus was right all along with the 3 amigos. As good as Di Canio was he always had the chance to be a liabilty, his sending off after scoring a pen v Hearts summed that up. We made a great profit on Cadete, we needed that money as the like of McStay were finished and had to completely rebuild bringing in the likes of Larsson, LAmbert, Burley and Rieper

Pierres comment about ''not enough money for the homeless'' was a disgrace, he spat the dummy out at forest not long after not getting his own way.

He punted the 3 amigos then we stopped that mob getting 10 in a row, only thing i could maybe be unhappy with would have been his appointment of Jock Brown.

100 % agree with Tommy & Davie we never had a problem with bigotry we only hate the huns. All have been welcome @ Celtic, we never had a Catholic only policy.
