To be honest Ewan, I was already aware.

I knew I probably wasn't going to be on the forum for a few days so thought I would go for a cheeky wee wind up - hence me not taking the stick some of my fellow Tims have dished out, personally.

The thought of going to the bigotdome without support doesn't bear thinking about. Granted I don't like the thought of giving the orcs a single penny (at any time) but our ticket money is a drop in the ocean in terms of what they need to save every month - never mind what they need overall.

So yes, our pennies may help them for a little while - but the money they make from away support will not matter a jot in the grand scheme of things.

If we do boycott anything, boycott their hotdogs and fizzy pop. :icon_mrgreen:

But the opportunity to go there with (our own) Jelly, Ice Cream, Horace hats and whatever else we can use is too good to pass up.

To say it's time to rub it in is a HUGE understatement and I'll be there with bells on, if I get the chance.

I just really hope they drop points before we go there, so we can win it on their patch and have one helluva party!

Again, thanks to all for joining in and for reinforcing what we ALL know already - we truly are the best supporters in the world and will support our team in the proper manner every time!

    Hail Hail

can't do it. I can't understand anyone that thinks hurting them is more important than supporting Celtic. Not getting on my high horse, I really just can't get my head around it.

I wouldn't let our team go into that atmosphere on their own :54:

Not a good idea to boycott a game which will surely be the title party. Also maybe the game in which rangers say bye bye to the second place :bbpd: Anyway can't boycott anything as I just don't live in Scotland :p

I've read the article of CQN and just like Sean already said a few times....it doesnt say anything about us boycotting the away game at ipox.

    Crap idea...

    Why?

Because as others have said they would just sell tickets to Rangers fans and, in any case, the £300K from our ticket sales is not going to help this version of Rangers stay alive.

But, most important, when we next play against Rangers, whether that be the current version or, as will most probably happen, a new club called Rangers (who would be in the SPL within 4 years of forming), they will give us as few tickets as possible meaning that our fans lose out in the long run.

Its as funny as * what is happening to them but only the most Celtic-tinted spectacles wearing fans, children or niave adults actually believe that this will be our last match away to a team called Glasgow Rangers.

Well, this could be our last game against a team called glasgow rangers ! If they do go out of business and create a "new" club, it would not have the same name.

True, but it's still sort of the huns. Even though they would be different, they would be just as bitter as ever!

They would be called "AFC Glasgow Rangers"...

Rangers might disapear for a bit, but they won't die... (sadly)

I'd love the mods to add a poll to this thread.

"How many of you actually read the feckin CQN article that this thread is about?"

    My guess is about 3%.

    I know, I know, 3% is probably a bit high, but it's a round number. :56:

    Good grief!

As said already, more than once, the thread was a wind up - tongue in cheek, if you will.

The CQN link was added to draw attention and stir debate around that particular area - however as Hand (and one or two others) have pointed out - it doesn't appear to have been read.

    I appreciate the fact that muchos TC members have responded to the thread but let me point out a couple of facts;

    1) I do NOT support a bhoycott of the bigotdome!
    2) The thread was a wind up!
    3) The CQN link was added to stir debate in that area - but as pointed out most haven't read it!

Think another thread, specifically about generic bhoycotts, based upon the CQN piece may be required!

Apologies to all, as clearly I have caused mass confusion! :52:  :56:

Anyway, enough talk of bhoycotts - we've got a game on Sunday :icon_mrgreen:

    Hail Hail
