    Examples of biggest steals. I'll start.
    Milorad Čavić was robbed in Beijing Olympics, he should have won gold medal, but Phelps "won it". This is the proof, Čavić was faster:

    Hmmm... not sure you can call it theft when it took a few days of ultra-slowed down shots to show reality. They were so close that even the computer-activated touch sensor couldn't get it right. Even Cavic has said since the incident that he doesn't fault anybody. By saying theft it implies that Phelps stole it from him.

    Boxing has a whole load of them stemming from corrupt judging officials. I'd like to highlight two very recent examples of this:

    First is Paul Williams vs Erislandy Lara, which ended in favour for Williams since he was the hometown/country hero despite blatantly losing the fight:

    Well, French company said: "Čavić was faster, but he didn't touch the sensor hard enoug."
    Well, I don't know how the result was recorded than. It doesn't matter anyway, nothing will change.

    Was it really formally acknowledged? I know of more than one Argentinian who don't recognize this World Cup because of a) this match and b) the ties this tournament had to the dictatorship.

    Tom Watson being robbed of the British Open championship by sneaky baws Stewart Cink.(will never forgive him)
    Old Tom had valiantly fought his way round and almost won it, but had faltered at the last, and had to go for a play-off with Cink.
    Cink had himself been in for over an hour, had time to refresh, have a cup of tea, talk to his coach etc and generally get himself ready.
    Tom on the other hand had to endure the heartache of missing that putt, and almost go straight back out for another 4 holes.
    So the whole entourage got loaded up for the trek in the carts back to the allocated point where the playoff would start, with Tom in the first cart.Off they set, half a dozen carts eagerly followed by the fans and press..........................but wait...what is this, Stewart Cink gets out of his cart, and decides to walk, without telling anyone in front.Tom gets to the tee, and is then forced to wait 10-15 minutes pacing up and down whilst Cink saunters back over the holes to the the tee.Gamesmanship bordering on cheating of the highest order!Old Tom is 60, and is at the end of his tether, both physically and mentally, and this sleakit * makes him sweat on the tee, even though he is by far the younger man and has had the advantage of preparing himself!

    Needless to say it was all too much for Old Tom, and his game disintegrated and Cink won the playoff quite easily.He may well have won it anyway, but for me it will always be tarnished for his display of extreme ungentlemanly conduct, which possibly robbed the great Tom Watson of the most outrageous victory in the history of the game of golf.
