    Probably, and hopefully.

I've no issue with him not running around like a headless chicken, but the guy didn't even crack a smile. People mention Balotelli. He doesn't always celebrate, but if he doesn't there's nonetheless an arrogance in his body language. For Hooper there wasn't even a hint of joy, arrogance or otherwise. After crediting Sammy with the assist, his head was down the whole time and Ledley and Mulgrew looked like they were almost consoling him while congratulating him. The Motherwell player at the end I reckon may have asked if he was ok...wouldn't have happened to Balotelli because they know whatever he does he's just craving attention.

This has been brought up before a few months back when we was trailing the tax dodgers and somewere worried he was un happy and wanting to leave.
Since then he has scored and celebrated many times, player do have some days when they dont jump around for joy for some reason.
Maybe had stuff on his mind or what ever but i dont think there is anything in it.

James Forrest didn't celebrate either on Wednesday night, maybe its because the league is won and they'd rather just get the games out the way, I would celebrate any goal even if it was the last goal in a 6-0 win

Alot of players do this. As someone said earlier. Hooper done is against Rangers. Balotelli does it all the time.

CELTIC star Gary Hooper has revealed he didn’t celebrate his winner against Motherwell yesterday because he was disappointed with his overall display.
The English ace sealed the Parkhead club’s 20th domestic win on the spin with a well-taken strike after 59 minutes.
But he didn’t join the rest of the stadium in partying after admitting he fell short of the standards he expects of himself.
Hooper said: “Yeah, I wasn’t for celebrating my goal. It was down to the way I was playing – I wasn’t happy with that
“But that is my 20th goal of the season and my 16th in the league. I hope to score 25. That’s my target.
“I want to get that and finish top scorer at the club. We’re doing well at the moment and just need to keep going.
“It wasn’t a great performance against Well but we will need to grind out results sometimes.”
Hooper’s strike came when Well failed to deal with a long throw from Adam Matthews.
Georgios Samaras was allowed to chest the ball down into the English striker’s path and Hooper made no mistake.
That ruined Darren Randolph’s hopes of keeping a clean sheet and the keeper felt the goal could have been avoided.
He said: “We had a lapse in concentration and when you do that you get punished. It was a bit frustrating because we had dealt with everything else until that point.
“We had Celtic worried a little bit. They changed their shape with almost 20 minutes to go to protect their lead and there was a bit of panic from them on the sidelines.
“Maybe we could have been a bit braver at set-pieces and thrown more men forward.
“However, we did trouble them at times.”
Motherwell could have moved level with Rangers in second place had they managed to pull off a shock Parkhead win.
The Ibrox side can now pull six clear of Stuart McCall’s men with a victory at Inverness today but Randolph isn’t giving up hope of catching them.
He said: “We’ll keep going and we hope to finish in at least third place come the end of the season. But second spot would certainly be nice and we’ve still to play Rangers at Fir Park.”
Randolph was happy with his Parkhead performance and hopes it can help him earn a call-up to the Ireland squad for Euro 2012.
Irish boss Giovanni Trapattoni has included the 24-year-old in recent squads and Randolph said: “Playing well at venues such as this can’t do any harm. I love the big games and enjoy playing in front of big crowds.
“It’s what being a footballer is all about.”

Perhaps it's the whole; only being one up thing. Lenny doesn't always celebrate when we put the first in.

The consensus may be that 1-0 is nothing, as the opposition can score at anytime and change the game entirely.

Having said that, there is usually a smile - in fact I don't think he smiled until their number 9 (higdon, I think?) said something in the circle just before the restart - so perhaps he wasn't happy with his performance...

Either way I wouldn't read too much into it!

    Hail Hail

He did the same against St Mirren earlier in the season also, not a big deal in my opinion but wish he would stop doing it as I always hesitate as I think the goal has been chalked off!! :icon_mrgreen:

Yeah I think the team in general didn't have a great performance (apart form Rogne), the first time in a while it's took us that long to get the first goal.
