I have been trying to put pictures together to hopefully come up with a design for my first tattoo. Hoping to get one on my upper arm that can be turned into a full sleeve if i want to in the future..

Im wantin it to be of a similar look to Danny fox and David Beckham. Black and white with some shading. I have been scouring the internet at tattoo shops and i cant see any artists who have any similar to this in their gallaries. can anyone highly recommend a tattooist or a shop in Scotland or even England that they know will do a top job? Thank you

http://www.tribetattoo.co.uk/shops/tribe2.html - I've had one done from here. It's in the West End just off Great Western Road. Best advice I can give is to shop around and ask to see their portfolios when you're in the shop and look at the portfolios online too. Judge the quality of work yourself and if your satisfied then go for it.

Around this neck of the woods, Infinite Ink in Hamilton has a glowing reputation.

Without a doubt, has to be Custom inc. in the Town. Billy Hay and Marcus Mcguire are two incredible artists and will come up with something original and unique.

I'm booke in on friday to get my new skool Japanese sleeve finished, cant wait.

Why do people always get tattoos of Japanese things like fish or chinese or latin writing?

    Ive never understood that.

In terms of my Japanese-esque sleeve there are no fish or text, mine is totally untraditional, a play on a theme if you will.

Think it's just horses for courses mate, i've never been one for tattoos to 'represent' something like these cheesy American TV shows..."I got a tattoo of a sausage to remind me of my Dad as it was his favourite food" I appreciate the art and lifestyle more. Each to their own though.
