Celtic and GAA

Many Celtic legends have been linked with the GAA Packie bonner , Martin O`neill and a man of my own county (Armagh) Neil Lennon so does anyone know of anymore???

Niall McGinn could have played for my county Tyrone but rejected it to be average at soccer. * lol.

Pretty sure Paddy McCourt played a bit of GAA during his school years.

 

We signed McGinn based on his Gaelic abilities IIRC.

Think Paddy was always more into soccer, my cousin in Buncrana played against him and Darron Gibson when they were younger.

 

You could nearly count on any irish player playing gaelic, every catholic does over here at some point

 

Thats true. Even players who were football all the way most likely would have at least played for their school team if not the local club team as well.

 

Although he hasn't played for Celtic, I think Kevin Doyle has been linked with GAA. Don't know anything about that sport tbh, but the few video I watched on youtube amazed me ! A man run with the ball on his hands and then kicked it ! Look fun, shame we don't know anything about that sport in France.

Much better than "Soccer" or Boules.

 

Hurling is a far better game to be playing. Played Gaelic for a couple of months and it is utter * compared to hurling

 

I * hate it ! So long and boring

ah mate love Hurling its so skillful and anything can happen at the flick of a wrist. Unbelievable how the world hasn't adopted this as its main sport

 

Played hurling once, gave up after getting whacked in the knees twice within twenty minutes lol.

 

its usually my hands that get the most abuse, leg injuries I can handle.

 

1 concision 3 scars on the head 4 teeth missing shoulder and kneecap dislocated , im still hurling the balls out of it!
