wilson has been poor of late as well unfortunately

 

We didn't really miss Wilson at all. The fact is he ain't that good either. We need to buy two really classy centre backs in the summer.

 

*Concede three goals, should have been more.
*We did not miss our first choice centre back.

Nah I'm pretty certain that we did.

 

Gutted. Voted him as POTY. Missed him today, wouldn't have gave Higdon as much space in and around the 18 yard box.

 

wilson is the man, i only remember 1-2 bad games from him the whole season

 

Still don't rate him as a defender at all. Too weak. A target man will bully him and he's not good enough to be the ball player in defence. Should be Mulgrew and a McManus type.

 

Deserved to win POTY imo.

 

Thought he was excellent against County.

Looked good coming back from his holiday.

Would like to see more of him and Mulgrew at the back.

Wilson has the pace that we need at the back. Rogne is what you would call a big no nonsense type defender and he never looks up to much playing in our team because he is so exposed on the counter attack.

 

Has had, on the whole, a really good season for us. He has certainly changed my mind, I would have been happy to have seen him leave last summer, really didn't rate him but he has come on leaps and bounds. Some players seem to take a season to settle and u see there best the following year.

This. McManus was overrated. What has he done since leaving Celtic ?

 

Don't get me wrong, I loved McManus. Loved his attitude and for such an average player he had a cracking Celtic career but he wasn't all that good.

He was all attitude. An attitude I wish more of our players had these days to be fair.

 

I know McManus wasn't everyones cup of tea, but I loved him.

The guy would have run through a brick wall for this club, and that type of player is in relatively short supply nowadays.

 

Agreed. I would swop McManus anyday for either Ambrose or Wilson or both.

Mick had his limitations like all players do, but Mick gave his heart and all for the club, and when he had the right centre half beside him, he was a tower of strength.
