I'll take that, He can't be brilliant every game but at least he's getting the goals now.

 

It happens, he done one earlier in the game where it took out the 2 players around him.


He then done a * cross but you just get that with Sammy at times.

 

He's played poorly in the last 2 games yet he's scored today and was involved in both goals against Ajax.

I don't get angry at him no matter how * he plays. I love how much he enrages people though
Both tims and away fans just get absolutely * raging at nearly everything he does, it's hilarious hearing the stick he takes.

Everything from "that pass was * * ya lanky *!" to straight up "head and shoulders *!"

 

He was pretty * today actually? And on Tuesday night.

 

You can't complain he does his job, and Lenny clearly is happy with him, because he plays basically every game now, if there is one criticism it would be when he is running with the ball he needs to get his head up more! There was times on Tuesday (and in the past) where he just runs the ball straight out of play.

 

1 good game for 10 bad games isn`t good enough. Wasn`t even putting any effort in today

Lets be honest if Samaras didn't have flaws he'd be at a different team than us, we just have to accept them and appreciate when he does something great, which is often enough

He's the most gifted player to have played for Celtic since Larsson. Some people need to get their head out of their * *. I don't think he'll be appreciated by some until he leaves or retires here.

I'll take him running the ball out of play or giving the ball away too easily every now and then if he's still scoring goals, terrorising the best defenders in Europe & pledging his loyalty to Celtic despite some of the * idiots in our support who still scrutinise his every touch of the ball, hoping he slips up so they can be negative * & have a good moan at a man who has taken Celtic to heart & done more than any player currently wearing the Hoops to bring an air of credibility back to Celtic's European aspirations. Honestly, there're some absolute goons on here... you shouldn't even watch football.

I stand by it. As Zander said, if Sammy didn't have his flaws he'd be at one of the very top clubs in Europe.

 

I would say Chris Sutton and John Hartson were better and better at European level and they were both in the Hoops after him.

Nakamura was a more gifted footballer as well.

I like Sammy, he is an awkward big player that must be hard as * to play against, he has a habit of popping up in big games for us as well but most gifted since Larsson? I don't think so.

 

Most people will remember Sutton and Hartson as part of that Seville side. Maybe I should have worded it differently... the most gifted player to have signed for Celtic post-Larsson... bar, maybe, Naka. :smiley-laughing002:
