That's almost the biggest reason that he deserves a new deal. He's like Muller for Munich, even if he's not on the best run of form, he's still going to go 110% for 90 minutes. Also he has a great set of skills about him, and has shown he can keep a level head on him even in tight situations.

Get him a new deal Lenny!

 

I certainly hope so. He deserves one and looking at his age his next few years should be his peak career years so it would be a big for us if we could get him signed to a contract extension this summer.

Great talent. Hope he does a lot more work in the summer on his left foot. It's getting better but it's got room for improvement.

 

I would be over the moon if he signed a new contract.

Hes just as important as getting the likes of Wanyama signed again on a new contract. Especially if we want to make an impact on Europe again next season.

Thought Sammy linked up with Commons really well at Tannadice yesterday. Really hoping they both start for the cup final next weekend.

The formation and style that we played suited the whole team really well.

With Sammy in the team it also means we can play the long ball more often if needed. He will challenge for every header and wins the majority of them.

Took his goals really well, I'm not sure if the second was given to him or not?

 

Samaras can be amazing for us. But he can also be awful. Inconsistancy like that can be worse than actually being a bad player all round. It doesn't make sense how he can tear Spartak Moscow apart for example then not turn up against St Johnstone. He cant just select which games he wants to perform in. When he decides to perform he's * brilliant, but he needs to do it all the time. Or at least look interested all the time. I like the big guy, I just think theres a lot more we could get out of him than what he's already done

 

I have a feeling he's going to start on Sunday but I hope he doesn't.

 

Commons, Forrest, Stokes and Hooper should be on the park when the whistle blows.

Sammy can come on after an hour and wreak his own brand of havoc.

 

That's closer to the team I would pick. I would go for one of these line-ups I think..............

Would be madness to play McGeouch in CM, either play him behind the strikers (filled by Commons) or out wide.

 

After his two goals on Sunday and his general performances lately; I need to ask why?

I think he's actually our most inform striker at the moment (in terms of goals?). Does he not have about 4 in 5?

 

Its a big game so as always sammy is pretty much guaranteed to start, besides the big pitch at hampden should suit him. The team picks itself i think, ledley and brown in the midde with commons playing in behind hooper, sammy on the left and forrest on the right.

 

I don't think it's madness at all. If he had Broony and Ledley alongside him he'd cope just fine. He would give us someone in the middle of the park who can get his foot on the ball and play creative passes. McGeouch is not a wide player, he is wasted in wide areas.

I want to see Stokes and Hooper start up front together because they link up so well and have torn Hibernian apart more than once in the past. So if Sammy is going to play then that only leaves the wide left slot. I would give that to Kris Commons, I think he's playing better than Samaras and he links up better with Izaguirre than Samaras does.
