:56:Have you ever seen him play? He's a decent player who will score goals if he is brought here, get him around the box and create some chances and he will put them away.

Brozek's record in Poland was very impressive, he hasn't been getting a game in Turkey so its a bit pointless to judge him on his goal scoring there. You are making it out like he is a nobody but he was the best striker in Poland( a better league than ours) for around five years, obviously he isn't well known in Britain but he isn't an unproven player like some are making out.

Paweł Brożek: Not physical type of player, very good technique and awareness, proper finisher, not creator, confidence kind of striker

Paweł Brożek: In Ekstraklasa on different level, in Turkey not given proper chance so he failed. Only few times he shone at intrntnl stage.

Paweł Brożek: when on form, a bit arrogant but unplayable, not selfish, good in the air, only one serious injury in his career

The most 'trusting' person to comment on it is Spiersy. There was no maybe about it, he said we HAVE signed him.

    Absolute nonsense, SPL is superior.

Why are people so negative towards our league? Some saying it's one of the worst in Europe etc. SPL is in the top 15 in Europe and there are over 50 countries fs.

If he has signed, the biggest obstacle is getting in the team, if he doesnt get a run of games we could have problems, same with any players they need 10 games or so to get going, we have seen nothing of bangura yet considering he has hardly played at all, I hope he does come, sounds good but hel need to start games to show what hes about

Its debeatable though, im sure a Polish mob pumped Dundee Utd or Hibs or Hearts 5-0 about 2 years ago in Europe.

We are better than Polish teams but id bet the Polish top 4 would give the huns a game and the rest of Poland would beat the SPL mobs. I would say Polish diddy teams have a higher standard of player than ours so its probably correct hes scored againsr better than SPL level.

Runners-up Slask Wroclaw were lucky to beat Dundee Utd on goal difference this season, no 5-0 victories.

I don't remember any side from Poland making an impact in Europe in the last 10 years, I can't say I watch too much of the Ekstraklasa but the standard is pretty poor from what I'v seen.

In the Last 4 years Lech Poznan have beat Man City, Feyenoord, Braga, Dnipro, Austria Vienna Salzburg and Club Brugge and drawn with Udinese, Juventus, Deportivo and Nancy.

Legia Warsaw have wqualified for the Europa knockouts this season and knocked out Spartak Moscow in the qualifier. Wisla also qualified beating Twente, Fulham and OB and in the last couple of years have beaten Spurs and Barcelona.

Then there is Slask who obviously beat Dundee Utd this season.

Looking at that evidence and that Poland are better than Scotland then id say the Polish League is better.

First off I would ask you how many times you've watched the Polish league? I watch both leagues and the Polish league is quite a bit better in every way. Obviously I think we are better than the top Polish teams but that probably won't last for to much longer. I expect within ten years the Polish league will be within the top ten leagues in the world, Euro has really spurred stadium growth and alot of the Polish teams are starting to invest heavily in their youth systems.

two Polish teams qualified to the group stages of the Europa league this year alone. Polish football is rising rapidly and has surpassed the SPL imo.

In his prime time he had good acceleration on a short distance and true goalscorer instinct. His not creative and thrives on passes and rebounds.

I really hope we're not wasting any big money on him.

Btw, Trabzonspor (his current club) confirmed that Brożek is off to Glasgow to undergo a medical with Celtic:

At this stage of the window ill just be happy if we get some decent cover in for stokes and hooper, january is notoriously difficult to land quality signings, leave that for the summer when clubs are more willing to negotiate.
If this guy ends up hear then good luck to him.

Sounds like a Polish Kris Boyd.

I'll take him for 6 months as a rotation option for Hooper and Stokes. If we keep those 2 fit, we should * the league, so I'm not too worried that we aren't gonna blow big bucks on a 3rd choice striker in January.
