To be fair this is a pretty good Ireland team. So I doin't know where that comes from. Sure at times they flatter but overall there are not many better sides in World Rugby.

Good performance by Ireland today. Enjoyed wacthing that as we looked good going forward and scoring 32 points on a tough Scotland defence who were well rested coming in to todays game was a good showing.

Hopefully now we can finish on a high on St Patricks's Day in London:celt_2:

Good luck to Wales. They have set themselves up nicely to win the title and a grand slam against France. Hopefully we can also finish on a high and get a solid second place finish.

lol at the thought of France winning next week.

it's hard to explain the Myth that a Grand Slam has in Wales to the rugby public. it's like the Lisbon Lions x10 or perhaps what i imagine a Champions League is to a Real Madrid fan.

growing up in the 90s all i heard was about the magical teams that kept Slamming it in the 70's. 2005 was amazing, 2008 was amazing and we will win next weekend undoubtedly.

the players wouldnt dare bottle it.

I have a fee questions. Is the Irish team made up of players from north and south and do they sing the irish anthem and fly the tricolour?

The reason I ask is because I was in the bank (Yes, i have an account with RBS)the other day and I noticed they had all the flags other than the Irish. in place of it they hsd a blue flag with county crests. whats.the script?

    I know nothing about rugby.

Wales are certainly the favourites going into the match with France. I wouldn't get too overconfident though. The French are no mugs.

And I know you wouldn't want to get as arrogant as the English do when they're winning. :86:

my * id hate to be put in the same circle as english sporting arrogance.

i almost wish we lose now so that we can remain humble.

To the other homie Gordy Bhoy

yes, the Irish rugby team is a combined one for both North and South although in reality its essentially a Republic team in that they play in Dublin, their anthem is Soldier's Song, they normally have the president introducing them at games, their fans anthem is Athenry and they normally have irish tricolours plastered everywhere.

I understand that when they play away they only play Ireland's Call as the anthem which is basically a bit of politically correct rubbish manifested itself into a song if you believe my friends from call...us Welsh love singing it though. The rugby do very rarely play friendlies in Belfast as well.

I have no idea what unionist rugby fans think of it all but the Ulster players are an integral part and seemingly just get on with it...Rory Best captained ireland at the weekend and is a protestant Ulster Unionist...he merely didnt sing Soldier's song which is understandable (although he got loads of * on twitter for apparently not singing 'his' countries anthem) so they just get on with it with minimum fuss.

I don't expect it either, especially since Medard and Vincent Clerc are injured. But no team has been great in this tournament imo. You may have won all your games, but that wasn't as spectacular as your last Grand Slam.
