Personally I would like to see

Forrest Kayal Ledley Commons

So would say those 4 however if it was

McGeouch Brown Ki Wanyama McCourt

Then I would have no problem either as I also like to see these guys. Even Ibrahim too, I have no complaints over any of those 10 playing.

Out of interest, why would you drop Ledley for the 'tougher' games, lenny made that mistake this season at the shitpit and look where it got us. I'm not saying your wrong, because it is your opinion, but imo Joe should play every game he is fit, because he's our most important midfielder now that Izzy is back I think

 

We could actually field a team of midfielders that could probably win most SPL matches.

We'd even still have decent back-up of George, F.Twardzik, Ibrahim and McGregor.

An on form Kris Commons along with wee Forrest in the same midfield would rip any team to shreds. Wanyama and Brown could very easily play in the centre as well but imo Kayal and Ledley offer a lot more. We have such a squad

 

3 central midfielders and 2 high attacking wingers for me

with forrest attacking the right wing

Sammy or commons attacking the left .. rotate the central mid pairing based on the players form.

 

i couldn't vote for an individual and i couldn't pick our strongest. too many good players. *, i hate having this headache that Lennon has created.

Ally McCoist is probably thinking 'eh, how did he do that? can we do that Mr Whyte?'

 

Can't believe some of the crap about Brown. He's one of the most important players for our title run in. If not the most.

 

It's interesting to see that Ki, who is often chosen as a regular starter in midfield, is one of the player's with the fewest votes. He has never and will never be a first pick for me and neither is Brown. Granted he has played reasonably well in the last few games but I still don't see him worthy of a starting position, especially not on the right of midfield.

For me, when all four are fully fit and on form, my first-choice midfield would have to be:

Forrest - Kayal - Wanyama - Commons.

 

Ledley Wanyama (Kayal/Brown) Forest

I cant decide between Kayal and Brown as both seem to blow hot and cold so often. I would pick whoever is on form. For me Wanyama and Forest are shoe ins. The rest can be switched depending on the oppositon and shape of the team

the good thing is that we have such good strentgh in depth just now that we can take 1/2 players out and we dont look any weaker.

 

we just need that transition in defence and attackers and we're looking at a very, very good Celtic team that could cause some real damage.

 

yeh a couple of experianced players a CH and another striker and we will be a very hard team to beat.most people tend to forget how young this team is overall and if we can keep them together we are only going to get better when you add in experiance and the confidence of winning titles and more trophies(hopefully).

Difficult to leave Sammy and Commons out, as when on form they're great, but I just went for this combination.

Great to see we have so many amazing options in midfield though, someone who over 100 people voted for a first choice midfielder is injured right now - and we're still 4 points top of the league!

 

I'll bet Lenny hasn't slept in months trying to choose between these guys. For our's and Lennon's health we need to get rid of a few haha

I went with: Sammy - Wanyama - Kayal -Forrest
this was the 4 guys that probably contributed most to our turn around and seem to have great chemistry together so at the moment deserve to be there most

But how the * do you justify not playing Ledley?? An on form Commons, Ki and Brown are almost undroppable too. Everyone knows what McCourt can do with Ibrahim and McGeouch promising question marks. Ahhhh!!!

also don't understand why sammy has so little votes. he's been great the last few months, i can't see commons getting in ahead of him any time soon.

for me, on current form (which is all that matters imo),

sammy brown wanyama forrest

any injuries upfront and sammy moves up with ledley coming in on the left.

It was hard to choose between Big Vic and Kayal alongside Ledley in midfield, but I chose Vic purely on the basis that Kayal had his chance to shine in his debut campaign last season, whereas this is Victor's first season and he has been equally (if not more) impressive.

It's very harsh to leave Victor Wanyama out but I think Kayal and Ledley work wonderfully well together in central midfield.
