But nobody say anythink about that he is come and playing the Tommy Burns game on Sunday! And nobody say that he can not play football. The main point is that everybody that makes the fascist salute and say he is a fascist no matter if he kill somebody with his own hands is in my eye a murder!!! And he is a big boy he knows what he makes and everybody that says somethink else dont wanna see the true. I can not understand why peopletry to protect him :31:

Tommy wanted to sign a player who could go by opponents and we signed Paulo and his wee silver Z3 appeared at the westpoint hotel in east kilbride

paulo was outragiously talented and rather outspoken and so D I CAN I O was with us, he scored some beauties (remember the gold boots and the goal at pittodrie?)

all of a sudden at the end of the season he had "a leetle problem" over money with fergus and when tommy was sacked he went in the sulk, so off he went to those european giants sheffield wednesday where he is remembered for shoving a referee who went down in 6 monthly instalments and was banned for something like 12 games. then west ham where he won goal of the season for a piece of genius scissorkick adn he won a fair play award for not having a go at goal while an opponent was injured. back to lazio he went and on several occasions he was caught on cameras giving a one arm salute to the ultras. the club has fascist politcal leanings to mussolini and that are his beliefs so i guess that would upset most moderate people

for the year he was with us it was brilliant but no way celtic manager

Hold on a minute mate. All I'm sayin is I don't want him as a manager. And have given the reasons why. This thread is about his interest in the job.

And I'm glad he's playin on sunday cos he and Tommy were very close.

You don't want him because of his political views?
What should we do with all of the Celtic season ticket holders that threw bananas at Mark Walters then?
I Don't want him because of his lack of experience.

I haven't heard anyone try to protect him...

i think we are all in agreement that the mans views differ from our own.

i think some of us (myself included) are worried that some of our support might react to him being there on Sunday and that would be a shame cause the day has absolutly nothing to do with Di Canio, his views or peoples opposition to those views!

    Hail Hail

Paolo Di Canio - Where does he rank among the all-time Celtic greats?

Paolo Di Canio was part of possibly the greatest Celtic team to not win the league title.

In the 1996/97 season he racked up 31 appearances and 15 goals, before his somewhat acrimonious departure for Sheffield Wednesday.

Despite the controversy surrounding his departure, how fondly do fans remember Di Canio?

I think he could have went on to become an all-time great had he stayed at the club.

great talent and great player but i'm not so proud that he has worn the celtic jersey since that fascistic salute he gave to the lazio fans...an openly neo-* supporter...hmmm...not very fond of him
