I'm more than happy to hold on to Neil Lennon for the foreseeable future. He's won all he can just about and made great progress in Europe. This close season is huge however as we'll need to bring in 3 or 4 really good signings including a front man.

    Onwards and upwards:50:

Are people actually suggesting that we are worse off now than when Neil Lennon took on the managerial job? :97:

    * only knows how anyone can come to the conclusion that Lennon has taken Celtic backwards! Record points total for a Scottish club in the Champions League, won 2IAR and in the cup final.

If someone said all that to me back when St Mirren beat us 4-0 and Lennon was installed as interim manager the day after I'd have bit your hand off.

Ki made the most assists out of our centre-mids in Lennons first two seasons, 15 assists and 11 goals. Not bad for a bit part player who was * :smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002::smiley-laughing002:

Ki has the most successful passes rate in the premier league this season at 92%, he dictates the play, makes intelligent passes which bring the attacking players like Routledge or Michu into the the game. Has a fantastic passing range too. Can play as a deep lying play maker or even a more advanced role.

He was ridiculously underrated here, it's no wonder Swansea snapped at the chance to get him.

For me this season in the SPL has been one of the worst in a while. Was a * chore going to games this season because you just knew that it was going to be boring pish 9 times out of 10. Champs League was brilliant but for people paying to see Celtic in the SPL and watch players look like they don't give a * is out of order. Then see the same players getting picked every other week regardless of how * they played. I agree with Uncle Ho as well, the way he acts on twitter and such is as if he thinks he's alot better than what he is. Still love the guy and always will but getting pretty annoyed with him.

Just a pity he shat out of 92% of 50/50's as well.

He couldny kick opposition players into the stands but timmy nor did he run about like a maniac.

All that passing, movement, creativity and shooting from distance stuff is womens football material

I don’t think the domestic performances have even mattered this season, which is why I never got bothered after a pish result, even though I’m usually the first to do so.

Let’s be honest, the league was won in August. Everyone knew that. We were never going to go unbeaten or set a record points total. I claimed the opposite was more likely before the season started and was shouted down by Hammer :smiley-laughing002:

We’re missing competition, the SPL games may as well be meaningless friendlies. No manager in the world would be able to motivate his players to put 100% into most of these games. It’s been the shittest and most boring league win, probably ever. <!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <w:WordDocument> <w:View>Normal</w:View> <w:Zoom>0</w:Zoom> <w:punctuationKerning/> <w:ValidateAgainstSchemas/> <w:SaveIfXMLInvalid>false</w:SaveIfXMLInvalid> <w:IgnoreMixedContent>false</w:IgnoreMixedContent> <w:AlwaysShowPlaceholderText>false</w:AlwaysShowPlaceholderText> <w:Compatibility> <w:BreakWrappedTables/> <w:SnapToGridInCell/> <w:WrapTextWithPunct/> <w:UseAsianBreakRules/> <w:DontGrowAutofit/> </w:Compatibility> <w:BrowserLevel>MicrosoftInternetExplorer4</w:BrowserLevel> </w:WordDocument> </xml><![endif]-->That’s not Lennon’s fault though. He’s done a great job in Europe this year, setting our best points total and rewriting our away form. For that reason I’m more than happy for him to stay on for another number of years.

    Well said TRF. :56:

The Ki haters, are the mad Lenny extremists on here, anyone else notice that?

FFS its just another player/manager. They come and go, the club will remain. Get your priorities straight. First decent offer an your St Lennon will drop Celtic like a hot coal.

    * me, you sound like one of those brain dead English fans who'd rather see "passion", "grit", tough tackling and power as opposed to actual technical football which has proved successful for Swansea this year.

Ki isn't that type of player. I rarely ever see Barcelona players flying into 50/50 tackles, they apply constant pressure which force the opposition to give the ball away so they can capitalise.

Thats not why he'd be in the team though.

Ki would be in the team to help the teams style of play, keep the ball better, use his touch, control, vision and passing to speed up the play and open things up.

Teams dont play Xavi, Iniesta, Pirlo, Alonso or lesser players like Valero, Montolivo and whoever to win the ball back, you've got 11 guys in a team some of them can do that.

Wanyama doesnt open up the opposition with his passing, does that mean hes *?

Yip and Bayern crushed them 7-0 :50:

BTW I quite liked Ki and would have preferred if he'd stayed but what we got for him was more than enough to wave bye bye
